My August Favourites!

large (3)

Hello everyone! Can you believe it’s that time of the month again…. MONTHLY FAVOURITES! Where is the time going?

August was a really nice month for me, I got lots done work wise (hello new SOSU product coming soon) and I even squeezed in a family holiday with my mam and dad.

Being a beauty blogger, I am sent my fair share of products to try out and very few make the cut as I am super fussy, but these are 100% products to shout about.

I gave divided it up in three sections, beauty, hair and fashion! So I hope you enjoy and let me know if any are your faves…

Have a lovely evening!

Beauty

1. Lancome Soleil Bronzer SPF 50

lancome soliel bronzer

Double Whammy! The perfect bb cream that has the highest sun protection for your face! Lancôme’s 1st Sun BB Cream in my eyes is a major thumbs up. I took this away on holidays with me last month and I wore it every day!

Not only does it protect your skin from the sun it conceals imperfections and gives you an even complexion that lasts all day!

What I really love about it is the thin consistency of the bb cream, yet the protection it gives at the same time! It also helps that it smells amazing – a must have in your makeup drawer all year round.

2. MUFE HD Pressed Powder

mufe powder

Shine be gone… well we all love a good highlight but a shiney chin and nose – NO THANKS! This talc free touch up powder was specifically for HD technology.

It is perfect for use throughout the day to reduce any shine or oiliness. I hate powders that look all dry and talcy on the skin – but this one is light enough to conceal the shine but without that drying out the skin at the same time.

3. YSL Top Secrets

My new favourite product ever!! I have been using this as my primer and I am head over heels in love with it. The Instant Moisture Glow is essentially an ultra-lightweight perfecting moisturiser bursting with hydration for up to 72 hours.

I apply it all over my face before putting on my make-up and it instantly gives my skin a hydrated feel and the perfect base for my foundation. Because I am always on the go, it’s great knowing that this primer keeps the skin looking radiant and dewy for the day, while running from meeting to meeting or event to event! Big thumbs up from me.

4. No7 Silky Legs

silky leg oil

Ok so the frequent complaint I hear from you guys when it comes to any instant tan is – “how do you apply it streak free”?! And I have the answer.

Over the years I have used a mitt with some moisturiser along with some tan on it and then I apply it all over my body, which has worked a treat. Lately however, I have been using a new technique. Let me introduce to you the No7 Silky Leg Oil. This oil contains a natural source of Omega 6, plus Vitamin E to help boost skin’s natural moisture levels.

So…. what I have ben doing lately is spraying this all over my body (it comes in the form of a spray) and then I apply my instant tan and it blends perfectly. Not only does it blend better but it gives the skin that healthy dewy sheen that you guys ask about from time to time. Obviously a big favourite of mine, as youkno,  is the Nuxe body oil – but this is a new fave that isn’t as golden but just as good in terms’ of dewiness.

Hair:

1. Sleek & Smooth & Day Shampoo & Cond

sleek and smooth

I reviewed this shampoo and conditioner this week and I have to say it’s really amazing. After using it for the first time, I noticed straight away how silky my hair felt after I blow-dried it. If you’re after sleek, smooth, straight hair, then I would definitely recommend that you use the TRESemmé 7 Day Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner.

If your hair is curly and unmanageable, this shampoo and conditioner is definitely a great solution and cheap as chips too.

2. Redken Leave In Conditioner
