The Cannes Film Festival has long been a feast for the fashion senses. The festival is currently taking place and we have shown you our red carpet report of our favourite looks so far, but there have been some serious vintage fashion moments we had to show you. Back in 1957, the one and only Elizabeth Taylor wowed on the red carpet in a draped gown, complete with a tiara!
In 1955, the beautiful Grace Kelly showed her take on a sophisticated nautical look, wearing a ruffled shirt and capri pants, as she lounged by the port.
Princess Diana embraced pastels when she arrived to Cannes with Prince Charles in a pale blue gown designed by Catherine Walker.
Back in 1998, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp were THE ‘it’ couple. Kate arrived in a fitted black gown with a feathered neckline and the perfect man candy accessory!
French film star, Brigitte Bardot, attended the festival back in 1956. The actress frolicked barefoot by the sea in a little black dress and petticoat.
