CLUSE Minuit Mesh Black Watch – here

With Valentines just around the corner, I figured a lil ‘treat yo self’ blog post was needed!

Personally, I’m a big fan of Valentines but I don’t believe for one second that you need to be in a relationship to appreciate and enjoy the day.

If you’re single, use the day to treat yourself and spend the night with some pals – that’s what I did for the years I was single during Valentines and it always worked. Rather than crying into your coffee cup or feeling a lil’ left out when your social media feed fills up with pictures of flower bouquets, cute cards and Facebook date night check-in’s at restaurants, why not grab your (single) girls and enjoy a night in with a movie, a good gossip and a few glasses of vino! Or better yet – purchase something divine – a little ‘from me to me’! 🙂

I’ve always said that you shouldn’t wait for a guy to buy you flowers and gifts – whether it be on Valentines Day or otherwise – and it’s still something I stand by. Go ahead and buy them for yourself! You deserve them!

As you know, I’m an ambassador for CLUSE Watches and this month I’m working with the brand as part of their new #TimeToLoveMe campaign which aims to show women why self care and self love is so important.

I know from personal experience that when you’re single around Valentines Day, it can be very hard not to look at yourself and wonder why you still don’t have that special someone.

There is nothing wrong with being single, and there is nothing wrong with you for being single! You just haven’t found the right guy, and I have always firmly believed that you should never settle for anything other than pure magic.

You have to make yourself your number 1 priority. We have all gone through dark times but I want to use this blog post to encourage you to go a little easier on yourself. image2

I have received emails in the past from readers who were miserable about not being in a relationship like their friends were.

It’s very easy to compare ourselves to friends who appear to have great relationships but this kind of comparison is poison! The grass isn’t always greener, remember that!

If you’re dreading Valentines, don’t get down about it, instead grab your friends and have a movie night. Get your favourite bottle of win, a few nibbles and just have the craic.

If your friends aren’t free, then pick up some bath bombs and a bottle of wine and have a nice pamper evening when you get home from work. Give yourself permission to do nothing but enjoy the moment.

If you’re like me, a little retail therapy is always a good idea too! My own most recent accessory treat was a new watch. A few eagle eyed viewers spotted it on Snapchat and messaged me about it! You guys miss nothing! It’s the Minuit mesh black watch from CLUSE.9faf4b45c8450b104e4ea8944b0d382d

Whether you opt to spend Valentines enjoying a girls night or a pamper night, taking the time to regularly care for yourself and give yourself a break – even if only for one evening a month – will help you feel so much better mentally and physically.

Above all, remember this. Valentines is just one day of the year. It shouldn’t be day that makes you feel bad, so make some plans with the girls and enjoy it!

Lots of love,
