Fashion: Little Black Dress

little black dress

I may be in Marbella, but I’m still logging on to the different online high street websites each day to crush over some of their latest looks … (the life of a blogger never stops … even on holiday!)

One thing I couldn’t help but notice was the number of fab LBD’s around at the moment. Seriously girls, now is the time to pick up this little classic.

I have always said if you want to spare yourself one of those panicked ‘I-have-nothing-to-wear’ moments as you get ready for a night out, then invest in a gorgeous black dress and you will never again have to stress.

It’s definitely one of my favourite go-to items.

Here are the top 3 LBD’s I spotted:

1. Sienna Slinky Crossover Back Midi Dress
Price: €32
Where: Misguided

I really loved this dress from Misguided, and at just €32, sure it’s practically a steal!
It’s so pretty, and perfect for any occasion.

2. Black Drape Front Belted Dress
Price: €45
Where: River Island

This stunning little black number from River Island is another fab item to have in the wardrobe. There isn’t any place you couldn’t wear this!
How divine is the draped effect at the front? Amazing!

3. Plunge Neck Bodycon Mini Dress
Price: €24
Where: Topshop

topshop - plunge neck
This plunging number is every bit as feminine as it is sexy! When it comes to dresses like this, the one question I am constantly asked is, ‘how do you make your boobs look fuller in a low v-neck?’

SoAskMe Pic 6-A (2)

Well if you would like to create a more defined cleavage when wearing this type of daring neckline, then just follow my simple steps below!

Step 1 – Apply a bronzer along the sides of your cleavage. Use a brush to avoid creating streaks. Brush on the bronzer, starting at the cleavage line and ending at the point where the strap of the bra meets the cup. Repeat for both sides.

Step 2 – Apply the bronzer between your breasts. Blend it in with your natural skin tone, creating a “V”-shaped shadow in the process.

Step 3 – Select a light, natural colour eye shadow or face powder. Look for a powder that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, and then apply it to the visible portion of your breasts using a brush! This highlights the roundness of the breast, giving it a fuller appearance.

Step 4 – Alternatively, select a shimmery glitter. Choose a body dust, lightly apply the glitter to the visible portion of your breasts. The glitter will create a fuller area!

A sneaky extra:

Ok I know this is a ‘top 3’ list, but I decided to sneak in this extra one for those of you who prefer the ‘bare shoulder’ look as opposed to the ‘plunging’ look. This number is called the Bardot Bodycon Dress, and can also be found in Topshop (€22)

Hope you find your perfect LBD!
