After months of rumours about Victoria Beckham’s first stand alone store in London and a final confirmation in November, Victoria has announced that her boutique will open this autumn. The unit, a three floor high 7,000 square foot area on London’s Dover Street, is currently occupied by a sports shop, but all is set to change there as Victoria has hired famed architect Farshid Moussavi to renovate the area. Moussavi is known for her work on 2012’s London Olympic Park and has big things planned, including cutting a huge hole in the centre of the building to link all three floors! Sounds interesting!
The store is expected to house all of the collections under her current Victoria Beckham brand, including denim, accessories and optical lines. Victoria is looking forward to the launch saying that “it will be the first time that the people will really be able to see the brand through my eyes”. She has also revealed that the UK is the brands strongest market, followed by the US.
So it’s London first, next stop the world?!
