My Choice Of Outfit For A Weekend in London

y (6)

Hey guys,

Happy Tuesday!

So with LFW coming to an end and obsessing over the amazing street style looks, I thought it would be fun to give you guys some L’ondon weekend away’ outfit ideas!

I have had many weekend trips to London and I have become used to choosing the kind of versatile pieces that will work wherever you go!

First and foremost, I recommend going for a classic look. That way, you look smart and stylish but yet you’re not OTT either. Remember, London is a super stylish place but the most stylish people there are never the ones who are overdressed!y (1)2

Personally, I love a nice t-shirt and tailored blazer paired with skinny jeans and boots.

Monochrome is always a safe bet and it has long been one of my go-to looks! You will more than likely be doing a lot of sightseeing when in London so I would recommend a jegging style of skinny jean and a flat boot. Comfort is everything after all!

As most of you know by now, I absolutely love the Molly jeans from River Island and they have a gorgeous pair of black jegging jeans which would be perfect to wear on a trip to London. If you don’t want to go with a blazer, then I would recommend investing in a leather jacket. I love my leather jackets and have worn them to London on many occasions! They are so stylish but really practical at the same time. For this, I picked a light faux leather jacket from Vero Moda.

I love the long sleeved lace trimmed t-shirts from River Island, and as you can see from the picture below, I have it in green myself. If you don’t want to go for a tee, then I would recommend a wrap blouse instead, which you should have no trouble sourcing as they are all over the high street. I already have the white wrap front blouse, but I think I might pick up the black one as well.

I adore over-the-knee boots for Autumn/Winter, and I think flats are perfect for when you are travelling, but of course if you want some added height (who doesn’t!) then I would advise that you go for ones with a platform wedge pair as these will give you the height without the pain of high heels!

In terms of accessories, I say go for a wide brimmed hat and some rose gold jewellery. Of course if you want to go for a splash of colour, you can do so with the handbag or with the t-shirt. I just tend to prefer monochrome myself!

The best thing about this outfit is that all the pieces are so versatile so you can easily mix and match with other items from your wardrobe.

And there you have it! Your go-to London look!
