So as you all know, last Monday night I was lucky enough to have dinner with the lovely Mollie King from The Saturdays!! I was so excited when I got the call to fly over, meet Mollie and get a sneak peek at her Spring/Summer collection which she has teamed up with Oasis to design.
The dinner was fab and Mollie herself couldn’t have been nicer. Her collection is amazing, really on trend and exactly the kind of look you’ll be wanting heading into the warmer weather and hopefully a bit of sunshine. I have to say I fell in love with some of the looks straight away and I cant wait for you all to see the full collection when it debuts.
After dinner I got to sit down with Mollie for a fun chat about her leap into the fashion world, where she gets her ideas from and how she likes to unwind on her downtime. Here’s what Mollie had to say;
Describe your personal style in three words?
Feminine, eclectic and clean.
What style rules do you abide by?
To not follow any rules and always go with your instinct.
What is your must have piece from the collection?
The denim midi dress.
The skirt is the clearly the hero piece of the season, with a real move towards the longer midi length styles. How would you advise styling up this new season look?
Wear the longer length skirts with a heel so that they don’t drown you. Always good to wear with a more figure hugging top to make a contrast between the two.
What are your top tips for staying in shape and looking glam?
Lots of sleep and good variety in your diet. Go to the gym as much as you can fit in!
If you could wear only one thing in your wardrobe forever what would it be?
My Oasis blue skinny jeans, love them!
How does it feel to be the face of such a big high street brand?
Its incredible exciting and a dream come true!
What are the best pieces of fashion and beauty advice you’ve ever received?
To be yourself and wear what suits you rather than following a trend. For beauty always take your makeup off at night.
Have you ever been star struck and by who?
When I saw Jennifer Lopez at the Golden Globes.
If you weren’t a popstar what would you like to be?
I would love to have worked for the CIA. I love TV drama’s following the CIA.
What’s been your biggest fashion regret?
The High School Musical 3 Premiere!
How do you like to relax?
I love watching Box sets and going to the cinema. I also really love playing tennis and walking my dog Alfie.
Mollie was sooo friendly and warm and it’s easy to see how she has made herself a success with her attitude towards working hard. She’s definitely an inspiration to kepp striving towards your goals and her fashion choices are something that are sure to be a hit with the team at Oasis behind her.
