Rihanna has an exciting new job in the fashion world!
She has just been named as the new creative director of active wear brand, Puma!
Rihanna will now be responsible for the direction of their womens wear line and is also set to join sports stars, Mario Balotelli and Usain Bolt, as brand ambassador.
In a statement released yesterday Puma said
“Rihanna will work with Puma to design and customise classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio”.
Speaking about the reason they chose the songstress to represent their brand, chief executive officer, Bjørn Gulden, said
“Her global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition – all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand……Rihanna was a natural choice for us. We’re delighted to have her as a partner, and we’re looking forward to what’s to come.”
Rihanna is no stranger to the fashion industry with successful partnerships with River Island, MAC and Balmain under her belt, but this is her first foray into the sports world.
