Tartan was a HUGE print for Autumn/Winter 2013 and it’s showing no signs of stopping.
First celeb sighting of 2014 was Beyonce at a Brooklyn Nets basketball game with hubby Jay Z. A far cry from her raunchy Grammys get-up, B was cosied up in a bobble-eared beanie and tartan biker jacket. Effortlessly cool with skinny jeans and a low slung ponytail.
Next star we spotted was Rita Ora, who went the whole hog with her look. Rita rocked tartan on tartan in the SAME jacket as Beyonces. (By Karl Lagerfield no less) Showing much love for this cool jacket, she’s actually been snapped in it on several occasions, unusual for a superstar with designer clothes at her disposal. But we like a celeb who recycles.
Avril Lavigne attempted the trend with a leather on leather combo. Okay so she may have missed the mark but as a piece on its own it can be worked better.
