NYC: My ‘What I Wore’ Diaries, Detailing My Outfits!

 

Happy Wednesday Everyone – I hope you are having a good week…?

This week for me has been catching up on emails (over 500, help me), finalising my book details – YAY, unpacking (help me), and nursing a very bad chest infection (help me) haha!

I arrived home from NYC last Friday exhausted, so this week hasn’t been too over the top work wise. I have just come down with a really bad flu and chest infection, which I can only imagine is from the Air Con on the flight coming back, coupled with my run down immune system. The last few weeks have been go -go -go and I am drained, so I am looking forward to a night away with Dylan tomorrow night.

Other that that… I am in happy spirits and so I wanted to compile my NYC outfit post for you guys!

As you may already know, I was over in NYC attending NYFW and documenting my full trip in detail for my up and coming book, which by the way, will be on shelves this NOVEMBER 🙂 I have pored my heart and soul into this second book, I’ve been a little bit more personal with you guys and shared a few details you guys might not know about…  🙂 in another words… raw details and emotions have been poured into this one. 😉

For now… lets get straight into the NYC fashion side of things and hopefully you can take some inspiration from my outfits.

If the word is tagged pink, then thats the link to the item. 🙂 Yes, I did get a lot of stuff in River Island, as we all know…. – personally I love their A/W collection and it’s really good quality – so WIN/WIN for all.

Outfit 1:

My Airport outfit – I wanted to be comfy on the plane going over, so I went with a white tank top, this black check duffle coatigan that is so cosy on and my fav ripped mollie jeans.

Outfit 2:

On the Friday, I had a few hours off and so I dressed causal enough. It was also SO HOT this day so I opted with my costumed made shorts from CVD, a cute crop Tee (Paris? what was I thinking haha), it’s sold out but there is a similar one here that I wore on the first day of Fashion Week. I wore my cross over bag and some runners for comfort.

Outfit 3:

If it’s hot out…. what better outfit than an yellow oversized jumper and a light pair of skinny ripped denim jeans. I am also lusting over the colour yellow now and top knots too 🙂

Outfit 4:

A little black dress is always a timesless piece and this one here seemed to have gone down really well with you guys! I mean for €45 who wouldn’t buy this little number. I have got long legs, so it may not be as short on some people… I know a few of you were worried it might be too short for you. I also wore my little black bag that night too (I actually wore this bag a lot – it’s so handy, fits everything). To break the black, I wore this necklace and it’s the most daintiest thing ever and for €6 – goes with everything.

Outfit 5:

I am also LOVING the colour wine at the moment…. it is the perfect A/W 14 colour and it suits most skin tones. Again, sporting the top knott, such an effortless hair do that looks chic enough for a night out. Here I wore comfy black jeans, a cropped white tank, the danty coin necklace again and my new mules – I just love these shoes, comfy too!

Outfit 6:

One of the nights, we went to the OK Magazine and Boohoo Party that was being help in the VIPS rooms! I decided on this grey leather skirt and teamed it with this new navy stripped crop top from River Island. It is such good material and really sucks you in. I teamed the outfit with this yellow leather jacket, that I wore a lot – I love the colour. Also the bag as usual and my Steve Madden heels that I bought over there in the sale for $90.

Outfit 7:

This little grey midi length dress is perfect for any occasion, esp dinner. Doesn’t show too much skin and it quite sexy on. I kind of felt like a school teacher in it… haha. And oh a top knott… again… seriously loving this hair style. So easy to do.

Outfit 8:

One of the days, we took a trip to see the Statue Of Liberty – it was a guided tour and it was so great to hear all the history behind the Statue – it’s actually very interesting. Here I wore a crisp white shirt buttoned to the neck, a pair of white skinny jeans turned up and a oversized grey cardigan that kept me warm while standing by the sea.  Again, you can see I am wearing this danty coin necklace… and Oh my Prada sunnies with some Alex and Ani Bracelets.

Outfit 9:

On the second last day, we went on the SATC tour, which was amazing by the way. Here I opted for a cross pleated shirt, black fitted jeans and this stylish blazer that added a bit of glam to my outfit. This particular day it was LASHING out of the heavens, so I couldn’t get all dressed up Carrie Bradshaw style 🙁 As you can see I am also wearing the coin necklace here again.

Outfit 10

Another really nice midi dress and so comfy on. This navy stripped dress from River Island  is the same pattern as the crop top above, but in a dress form. I wore this to one of the meetings I attended, I also teamed it with this white blazer that is a little oversized and has ready made rolled up sleeves (really good quality).

Outfit 11

I posted this one to the FB and lots of you guys liked it. This particular day we were shooting at Centeral Park – the place is HUGE by the way, I thought it was going to be small ha. I decided on a black leather skirt, a white shirt, the blazer I mentioned above, my Givenchy hat that I bought over there in a vintage shop for just $65!! My booties (so comfy on), my bag as usual and look at that necklace haha… I know, I wore it a lot – but I love it.
