Spring has sprung and that means we have begun yet another fashion season! Welcome Spring/Summer 2014. There are so many trends out there at the moment, but we chose our top five looks so you can inject your wardrobe with a brand new style without having to spend a whole lot. Take a look. 🙂
Pastels
Sugar and spice and all things nice! Pastels almost always make a come back Summer after Summer and these candy coloured hues are always a fail safe to ensure you are bang on trend. Pastels made their mark at New York Fashion Week with Prabal Gurung and Jason Wu choosing pastel shades for their jackets, shorts and dresses. A Spring/Summer classic never dies!
River Island
Midi Skirt
The midi skirt is THE style of the season. While we would usually expect to see mini’s being embraced for Spring and Summer styles, this year the hem lines all over the high street and the catwalk are heading south. Team a pretty full skirted midi with a fitted top for the ultimate in sophisticated chic. 🙂
The Boyfriend Jean
The relaxed fit, laid back boyfriend jeans are a must have to update any Spring wardrobe. Ripped, acid wash, dark wash, distressed- anything goes just as long as they have that slouch effect!
Levi’s
Flower Power
Floral’s for Spring may not be all that “groundbreaking”, in the words of The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly, but they are a classic and will forever return at Spring time. Plus, fashion has gone for the girly look this spring and it ties in with this perfectly! A floral blouse with boyfriend jeans is a super stylish combo!
Oasis
Print Trousers
Print trousers have been seen on almost every trend setting celebrity you can imagine recently and a good pair will certainly bring your wardrobe into the Spring season. Lace prints, tropical print, floral prints and animal prints are just some of the styles the high street has embraced. Yes, some patterns are only for the brave, but if you keep the rest of your outfit neutral you will be good to go!
