What I Wore To The Image Beauty Awards!

Last Sunday night I attended Image Magazine’s Business of Beauty Awards in The Double Tree Hilton Hotel, and I had such a great night and so glad I attended.

That particular day had been a mad busy one for me, and by the time evening rolled around, I was wrecked tired, and in no mood for getting dressed up and going out to a party. You know the feeling!

In the end however, I decided to go as I had already RSVP’d and didn’t want to let anyone down.

Well the night turned out to be a brilliant one. I had so much fun and it was lovely to catch up with people I hadn’t seen in a while. I also got to have a good laugh with some fellow bloggers, and of course, I was in my element looking at all the style on show on the night. What is it about people and style watching at big events, I LOVE checking out the style and everyone that night looked a million dollars.

My own gown was from Cari’s Closet in Malahide, and it got a huge reaction from readers after I posted photos on Facebook and Instagram. It’s rare that I would wear a long gown, so I think you guys were kind of surprised to see me in one!

My gold sandals were bought last year in River Island, but the good news is that they are now back in stock again so you can still pick up a pair here! 🙂

My Hair was by the ever so cute Brendan Hunt from Hessions Hair and I loved the style he did for me. He is a wonderful hairdresser and such a little cutie, I will defo work with Brendan in the future on some shoots, he is excellent at hair!

For my make-up, I decided on a dramatic navy smoky eye, which I thought would compliment the gown perfectly. I actually wasn’t happy with my eye makeup in the end, I thought it was too blue but you guys seemed to like it, so thank you for your lovely comments.

The Business of Beauty Awards, which honoured the best of the Irish beauty industry as decided by public vote, were hosted by Darren Kennedy and Melanie Morris.

I have to say, I couldn’t believe how amazing the Double Tree Hilton Hotel looked on the night. Our three course meal was also beautiful. I was left really impressed by the place.

Even though I had a great time, I couldn’t stay too late as I had my SoSuBy Suzanne Jackson photoshoot the following morning. More about that next week!! 😉

Lots of love,

Sue xx
