Your Festival Must-Have: Hunter Wellies!

It’s finally festival season! Does everyone have their outfits chosen already?

Fashion has to be one of the best parts about festivals…when else can you wear outrageous prints and colours, be completely covered in mud, and still be in style?  The shoe shops may be running low on festival footwear but were here to tell you the one thing you need to look fashionable and to keep your feet warm….

Release your inner supermodel by investing in a pair of practical yet über cool Hunter Wellies! Since Kate Moss was snapped at Glastonbury Festival a year ago sporting teeny hot pants and designer Hunter wellies – EVERYONE fashionista has jumped on that band wagon, including myself!

Who would have thought that these boots, which were once the staple of country bumpkins, would become a fashionista wardrobe staple. The boots which are available for Men, Women and Children, come in 20 different shapes, sizes and vibrant colours including turquoise, fuchsia and iris as well as gloss black, snakeskin and studded. There are short, tall and laced-up versions, and to finish the look you can even get furry, knitted and fleecy welly socks.

I bought the mat black ones (€95)  and I will be sporting those bad boys tomorrow! If any of you are at Sweedish House Mafia and you spot me – come and say HI! Would love to meet you!

Still not sure if Hunter wellies are for you? Well here’s our top 3 uses for them:

  • Going to the shops when it’s raining cats and dogs – match your wellies to your flowery skirt, mac and brollie.
  • Festivals – an essential in preventing trench foot and they look super cute with shorts especially with the welly socks.
  • Walks in the mud – Hunter wellies are incredibly comfy which makes them perfect for a Sunday stroll or taking the dogs out. Wouldn’t recommend climbing mountains in them though.

Hunter wellies can be bought from Fitzpatrick’s Shoes on Grafton Street:

Have a welly great day!

See you some of you tomorrow..
