Fans of Zooey Deschanels quirky style will be pleased to hear this Fashion News Flash. The New Girl star has teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger to design a limited edition capsule dress collection.
The collection is named ‘To Tommy, From Zooey’ (cute!) and will of course be heavily influenced by Zooeys cute and vintage style, combined with Hilfigers signature red,white and blue colouring.
Mr Hilfiger says – “They are Sixties-inspired short dresses. There is a lot of red, white and blue, but done in a Zooey way with interesting detail and flirty fabrics. They are very Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy — really from the Sixties in London. That’s not something we would normally put in our regular sportswear line — maybe we’d be inspired by the Sixties for the runway, but it’s a new way to look at fun, American classics.”
Though the whole collection has not been released for viewing just yet, we do have some sneaky fringe-clad sketches of a couple of the designs.
There will be 16 dresses in total ranging from $99 to $199 in price (approx €60-€150). Unfortunately they will only be available in from Macys USA from April 14th, however, us European fans can purchase a week later from tommy.com.
