Colin Farrell was on our telly boxes last night speaking on behalf of same sex marriage, a topic that’s set to dominate our national debate over the coming weeks as we prepare to vote on the issue. Farrell, whose own brother is gay, made a passionate and articulate speech in favour of change, and listening to him give his views it’s hard not to feel a little proud to be Irish and to see someone like him, who has battled his own personal demons, speak in such a manner.
The interview is making waves today for all the right reasons, and it seems that the positive change that Colin and many many people around the country are seeking, may be drawing closer to a reality each passing day.
