I’m hearing utterly heartbreaking reports that Ireland has lost a little angel tonight. Gavin Glynn, the boy who won over a country’s hearts has lost his fight with cancer.
This message was posted on the Team Gavin Facebook page a few moments ago along with a photo of the family holding hands; Rest in peace our beautiful baby. You fought the hardest fight anyone could imagine and all the way to the end. You are and will always be our Superman. Gavin passed very peacefully tonight with Conor, Lucy myself and Jayne holding hands on our couch at home. Fly high buddy we all love you so much xxxx
Our thoughts are with his family, friends and community. I can’t even begin to imagine how devastated they are. As someone who followed Gavin’s story for the last few years and his courageous battle with cancer, it breaks my heart to share this news tonight. Gavin holds a special place in all our hearts and today heaven has gained a superhero. RIP Gavin
