Chantelle Houghton: “I’m really hurting.” about her split from Alex Reid

Chantelle Houghton has spoken about her split from Alex Reid.

The Celebrity Big Brother star confirmed that she had broken up with her former fiancé Reid last week after a number of well-publicised relationship issues.

She explained that the relationship had not been great for some time and that she is “hurting” following the split from the father of her 11-week-old child Dolly.

“It’s true that I ended my relationship with Alex last week,” she wrote in her New column.
“As you know, things have been difficult for a while and I tried my very best to make it work.

“I’m really hurting.”

Speaking about Alex being arrested at their former family on Wednesday, she added:

“I’m sure people are aware that there was an incident at my home in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

“Our front door is always locked at night and, yes, the police were called and Alex was arrested.

“But that’s all I really want to say at the moment.

“Thanks for all your messages of support.”

Cross-dressing Alex, 37, was quizzed on suspicion of causing criminal damage and using violence to secure entry at their home in Brentwood, Essex.
