Dallas Inspired Hair – Get The Lucy Ewing Look!!

An exciting night on the sofa awaits us all this evening as Dallas makes its TV3 debut and the new generation of Ewings descend upon us.

One thing I loved about the ladies back in the day of this TV show was their hair, it was always so bouncy and big!! As a result, SoSueMe.ie caught up with Paul Hession from Hession Hair Salon to tell us how to recreate the look of our favourite naughty girl, Lucy Ewing.

This is what Paul had to say:

70′s hair was all about volume and movement and Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy Ewing in the hit series Dallas, had beautifully long hair but the length can easily weigh it down and leave it looking flat.

1. To add volume to lengthy tresses use L’Oreal Professionnel Texture Expert Expansion Mousse (€18.00) and apply sparingly to clean, towel dried hair to add texture and movement to the roots and body.

2. Blast dry hair upside down to remove excess moisture and set in Easy Sleep-In Velcro Rollers (click HERE to buy for €21.99) for an hour or two. The rollers will absorb the heat from the blow dried hair and form large, loose curls which can be gently teased out and swept to the side like the gorgeous and glamorous Lucy.

For extra curl, loosely tong hair at the front and ends, flicking out the curls away from the face and brush through with a large barrel brush.

Beautiful, shiny, blonde hair was one of Lucy’s defining features and whether hair is naturally golden or highlighted and coloured, it is important to use products which will prevent against discolouration and damage. Touch of Silver Twice A Week Brightening Shampoo (€4.06), to be used twice weekly, is a toning shampoo with a mild violet pigment to neutralise brassy and yellowing tones for blondes.
