DIET COKE FASHION FRIDAY: Autumn/Winter colour trend – Purple!

Purple is the colour of luxury and passion, of princely robes and papal vestments, dazzling gems and florid prose. But here at SoSueMe.ie we couldn’t care less about that… The reason why we’re talking about purple, is because it is the colour of the autumn/winter seasons!

Purple descended on the autumn 2012 international fashion shows in each of the major cities. In London, designer Christopher Kane showcased his autumn12 collection on a lavender carpet, with knitwear and dress details taking on the shade. Whilst in Milan, at Gucci, the colour of deep purple was used to its full effect, and now it is the colour to be wearing this season.

Purple is a deep and dark colour, that will make you stand out from the crowd. Bright and vibrant neon is no longer on the scene. Purple is a colour that is much more easier to wear, hence women prefering to wear darker colours to hide their figures, however that most certainly isn’t the reason why its the latest trend.

Purple is a colour that has been seen on catwalks in Milan, New York, and more importantly Paris. It is a colour that is appropriate for both day, and evening wear. It can be worn casually as well as formally, which makes it that bit easier to wear!
