In the last week it was announced that we’d be getting a sequel to one of our fave movies of 2013, Pitch Perfect. Now it seems that one of the stars of the original, Elizabeth Banks, is set to take up the reigns and direct the follow up.
The actress recently revealed that she is not taking her new role lightly, but there are definitely jitters in stepping into the directors seat.
“I’m taking on a lot more responsibility this time,” she explained. “I feel really privileged to just get in there and bring as much joyfulness and fun and great music as I can. I think anybody would be crazy not to be nervous. It’s really important to me. The film means a lot to me.
It’s something I’ve been with since the very beginning when it was a book that we made into a movie. Now we’re making another one. I’m nervous, but excited more than anything.”

Brittany Snow, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have all recently reached deals to return for the sequel, which is due to began filming in the summer and should see it on our screens next year. Were you guys fans of the original??
