EYE-LINER REVIEW: Soap & Glory Pencil Liner & INGLOT Gel Liner!

Yesterday I blogged about how you can prevent your eye liner from running (Read Here). After I posted the link to my Facebook and Twitter pages, I promised you guys that I would review my favourite eye liners today. I have chosen one of my favourite gel eyeliners and one of my favourite pencil eyeliners to review! Hope you enjoy!

*******

1. PENCIL: Smoulder Kohl in Superblack

Price: €7

My favourite pencil eyeliners are all around the €10 mark, but the one I am loving at the moment has to be the Soap and Glory Smouler Khol. This little beaut not only is it black, black and spreads super easy – it also has a sharpener at the end!!! Deadly ehh… esp when you are in a nightclub and you realise you liner has been worn down, nothing worse! I personally haven’t come across many pencil liners (if any?) on the high street with a sharpener attached, so I was glad to see that Smoulder Kohl offer this added luxury and it’s still competitively priced.

The liner supposedly contains “jojoba oil to moisturise, nourish and protect the skin plus antioxidant vitamin E”.

I like that it is a very sooty black with a super soft texture so it glides on without tugging.

The pencil is waterproof so it stays on the waterline, and wears amazingly well.

All in all, it’s a huge thumbs up from me!

2. Gel Liner: Inglot – Eye Liner Gel in black

Price: €15

No matter how many coloured eyeliners I have, I always come back to the basic black and for me my eye-liners have to be the darkest black there is.

The black colour is an intense black. The eyeliner is smooth to the touch, creamy enough to apply with ease and it dries to a beautiful pigmented, matte finish. I get a fab, even deep black line with just one stroke. It stays on forever and has amazing color payoff.

It works perfectly for me on the waterline and for tightlining. It does not smudge after applying and the good news is, it comes off easily with the makeup remover.

TIP: It dries very fast so one has to work quickly with it.

I also appreciate that these products are not tested on animals and are paraben free.

If you are unsure how to apply gel liner on your upper lid, here’s how:
