Hands up who goes unprotected in the sun?

We all worry about the skin on our face ageing in the sun, so most of us are happy to protect and wear a high SPF (read about my fav SPF HERE), but what about the skin on our hands? Have we ever stopped to think about protecting them? Afterall, our hands are the most exposed area on our body!

A recent survey revealed only 28% of women worry about sun damage to their hands, 72% of the women surveyed admitted they never consider their hands to be at risk from the sun. This is despite experts now warning that the hands are in fact the most exposed part of a woman’s body.

The worrying thing about this survey is, many women believe age spots to be a natural part of ageing; in fact they can be accelerated by sun damage to the hands.  In spite of this, 35% of women surveyed admitted they never wear a sun protection factor on their hands!
