Review: Kate Moss’s New Rimmel Velvet Touch Lipsticks!
Supermodel Kate Moss is back and back with a bang! The beaut has once again teamed up with British cosmetic brand Rimmel on a new set of matte lipsticks. The collection consists of five gorgeous shades from a soft pink to a burnt orange and I am here to tell you all about them!
The packaging of the matte Kate Moss lipsticks is slightly different this time – they now come in matte red packaging that I find pretty festive and of course feature Kate’s signature on the lid – it’s very chic looking!
I love the variety of colours and I love how despite this being her third collection, they really resemble Kate Moss’ signature style with their elegant, sophisticated and rock chick tones. I adore the vibrant orange-red of colour 110 and then the deep plum colour of 107 is definitely my favourite – this colour is a perfect sophisticated colour to warm up any make-up look! Super classy!
The 110 lippy is a bright orange tinged red that is most akin to MAC’s Lady Danger but is not as matte in finish, however it is a decent enough duplicate with a much more affordable price tag!
The third colour in is a perfect nude, quite similar to the Creme de Nude by MAC, I always think having a more peachy toned nude colour is a great staple and goes particularly well with a dark smokey eye which Kate often sports!
Shade 111 (4th down from the left) is a signature ruby red, I like its deep tone making it more dramatic and chic.
Finally, colour 101 has to be my least favourite as it’s a colour that I just wouldn’t wear on a day to day basis but never the less – still a fab pigment and I’m sure it will be fab on someone else.
I love them and for €4.95 each- you cant go wrong! For all the matte lovers out there I should note that they are not completely matte and do have a slight sheen finish but they do give a rich even velvet coverage and presented no problems in terms of colour pay off.
