REVIEW: Urban Decay’s newest foundation called Naked Skin!
Urban Decay’s newest foundation called Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Make-up promises not only weightless and invisible medium-full coverage but also a luminous demi-matte finish. .
The foundation comes in two sets of shades, Warm and Cool. Shades ending in .0 are for people with warmer undertones. Shades that end in .5 are for cooler undertones. I’m usually about an NC32 in MAC studio fix and the 7.0 in this foundation was a spot on match.
Naked Skin has a very thin, runny consistency so I was surprised that I needed the smallest amount to achieve medium coverage. It dries to a very MATTE finish, which I wouldn’t be overly mad about – you all know by now my love for the glowy/dewy foundations, but it does blur pores quite well and gives a nice even finish to the skin!
Is it buildable? Yes, but I think this will be easier to do if you have normal/combination/oily skin rather than dry. I found that it can look cakey in 2 seconds flat if I’m not careful.
Does it last? Yes, I thought it lasted quite well, but either way I always top up my foundation throughout the day/night.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t say it’s ‘holy grail’, but it is very good. Matte finish lovers - you will adore this!
Here is a picture of me wearing this foundation mixed with a small bit of Revlon on Saturday night:
