Embracing Change

suzanne jackson

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Asia!

The day is here and I can finally welcome you all to my brand new personal blog.

As you can see, I have decided to go with a generic blogger-like template to pair things back and to get ready for my new content and posting schedule!

Like I said on my Snapchat (sosueme_ie), I decided some time ago to return to basics. As much as I loved my old design, I figured a fresh new start for 2018 was on the cards.

Being a blogger in a saturated market, I want to continue to improve myself, my content and my blog, and to also give you guys what you want.

From chatting with you all on Snapchat regularly, the one thing that kept coming up time and time again was how much you miss my personal posts, and my own personal fashion blog posts photographed professionally.

I always try and put myself in the shoes of my readers by asking myself what I would want to read if I was a follower of my blog. My answer would be lots of beauty content, lots of personal fashion content, and lost of personal posts. So that’s precisely what I hope to do going forward.

From now on, I will be posting mainly personal posts, but there will also be more (non-paid) beauty reviews too, like back in the early days when I used to post at least one review a week. I will also have more lifestyle and travel posts as I know how much you guys love that type of content as well.

As you may have already noticed, I  have decided to redesign my logo. After 7 years of being known as SoSueMe, I feel like I have come into my own, and outgrown that title.

After all, SoSueMe was created back when I was 25 years of age, young and single. Now I’m 32, married, and definitely a lot more mature. My blog is a representation of myself and my life, and I think it should grow with me. That said, I have still kept ‘SoSueMe’ in the logo because it will always be special to me.

Because I’m going to be posting lots more personal posts as well as personal fashion and beauty, I felt like the re-branding of SoSueMe to Suzanne Jackson was more suited to the type of content I will be producing going forward.

I will also be posting less content, but of better quality. My plan is to post 3 good blog posts a week, focusing on personal elements of my fashion, experiences and beauty favourites.

To be honest with you guys, so much of my time is taken up with SOSUbySJ and I didn’t want to be producing uninteresting blog posts for the sake of it. I want my content to be strong, of good quality, and something that you enjoy, or maybe even learn from, each time you read one of the posts. I want you to be able to take something from each post.

So while I will be posting less, I really think you will enjoy the content more.

As with everything I do, a lot of time and work has gone into the new site, so I really hope you love it! I always love getting feedback from you guys, so if there’s a particular type of blog post or topic you would like for me to discuss, just pop your suggestion in the comment box.

Really hope you enjoy my new personal blog,

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat (sosueme_ie) for all the latest!
