Hi guys!

Hope you’re all having a lovely week so far!

Lots of you who saw my Snapchat last weekend will know that Dylan and I went to the Osprey Hotel in Kildare last Sunday so I thought I would write a little blog post about our Valentines break away.

So last Sunday morning, we got up early to have breakfast with Coco and Harper when Dylan surprised me with the most beautiful bouquet of red roses! Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE flowers!

After breakfast, we got on the road to Kildare Village for a little shopping. I’m a HUGE fan of Kildare Village. Seriously if you have an event coming up and you want to grab some fab style at an affordable price, then it’s definitely well worth a visit!

Dylan is a massive fitness addict as you all know so he wanted to go to the Nike Factory. He’s obsessed with that place! To be fair though, there there’s so many great bargains to be got there, and when you’re in the gym as much as Dylan is, it’s nice to get a few quid off the gym gear!

The main reason for our trip to Kildare Village however was to have a lunch in the Italian restaurant there, L’Officina. Oh my God, the food there is to-die-for! Definitely one of our favourite eateries without a doubt!

Myself and Dylan have always been huge lovers of Italian food but the food in L’Officina is beyond divine! Really affordable too!

We usually always go for the combo which is a small bowl of soup, and a ciabatta with basil, pesto, lemon and lime chicken, herbs, and mozzarella, accompanied of course by a nice glass of wine!

One of the stores I visited when in Kildare Village was Mulberry.

I’m not the biggest fan of the Mulberry brand but when I spotted these boots, I HAD to get them and for the best part, they were reduced from.. wait for it.. €841 – €175, like what? I WANTED them even more then 🙂

It’s a good thing I bought them too because later that evening after we arrived at the Osprey hotel where we were staying that night, I realised I had forgotten to pack the shoes that I had planned to wear with my outfit to dinner that evening! D’ohh!

Anyway, we decided to stay in the Osprey Hotel because we may potentially be holding our Kildare/Dublin workshop there.

The hotel itself is huge, and so welcoming. There was a lot of people our own age staying there for Valentines too.

After we checked into our room, we chilled out for a while before getting ready for dinner at 8.30pm. The meal we had in the hotel restaurant was hands down one of the best meals I have had in a hotel in a long time!

The food was so delicious. Dylan had fillet steak and I had the chicken stuffed with mozzarella and pesto served on bed of scallion mash with some veg. Both dishes were so gorgeous!

The staff were also extremely friendly. We had a lovely waiter called Kyle who was so bubbly and really nice to deal with.

After our meal, we had a couple of drinks and then headed back to our room because we were to be up early the following morning for spa treatments.

After breakfast the next morning, we proceeded to the spa quarters to use the sauna, steam room and swimming room before being called for our treatments. We were then taken to the couples treatment room. Dylan had a full-body massage and I had a Swedish massage with a mini-facial.

I was really looking forward to the facial because I knew they use all Dermalogica products in the spa. When I was training as beauty therapist, one of the brands I trained with was Dermalogica and ever since then I have been a fan of the brand.

Emma was my therapist on the day, and I have to say, it was one of the best massages and facials I have ever had done.

The massage was amazing, so much so that I’m going to book in with her for a massage once a month from now on. My back was killing me last week, so I was really looking forward to the massage, and it really did make a huge difference.

Emma did notice that my muscles were quite stiff and knotted, a consequence of stress and being on the computer so much, so after seeing how good I felt following the massage, I’m now determined to get one each month.

Following our treatments, we got showered and changed and then headed home to our doggies!

I want to say a massive thank you to The Osprey Hotel, we had such an enjoyable stay and in case you’re wondering, no this is not a sponsored post! 😉

Have a great evening guys!
