Turning 30!

saaa

Hello Tuesday…. and the last day of my 20’s!! 🙁

The weeks are just flying by, aren’t they? I was in Dunnes Stores yesterday and I couldn’t believe all of the Christmas decorations are in already… time is speeding by!

I love Christmas, but I can’t wait for this year in particular.

My dad is a paramedic/firefighter and works most Christmases and, this year, for the first time in ages, he is off! 🙂

I am actually trying to book all of the family into a hotel for Christmas eve, day and night, so we can totally unwind and so mam and dad don’t have to cook, but a lot of the hotels are closed.

Do any of you guys know of any really nice hotels that stay open for the Christmas period?

If so, you might let me know? I would really appreciate it.

So today.. I am here with a little life update in general….

Firstly, my second book, SoSueMe: What Happened Next went to print last Saturday and I am over the moon.

I have been working on this book for months now, and to know that we are nearly at the last hurdle is so exciting.

I have poured my heart and soul into this book… I really feel that you will get to know me even more in this one.

It’s raw and the topics I cover are close to my heart, i.e. confidence building tips, how to get what you want from life, chasing a dream, life lessons that I have learned along the way, etc.

There is everything in this book from girlie chats to fashion… beauty… fitness… business talk and lots more. I really hope you guys like it. I am excited but SO NERVOUS too! I really hope my second book does as well as the first. I suppose that is always the worry.

I know you guys support me and enjoy the topics I post about here on SoSueMe, so I hope you will love the new book, especially as it delves a little deeper.

The book is due to launch on November 5th and I will be throwing a MASSIVE party hopefully on Nov 21st to mark my book launch and my 30th birthday. You are all invited so pencil in November 21st for now and I will let you know more this week! 🙂rs

This brings me onto my next topic.

I am turning the big 3-0 … the dirty 30 … tomorrow, Wednesday October 22nd.  Officially the last day of my 20’s is today!! It’s so weird because as a little girl I thought that by 30 I would be married, living in a big house (my own) with some children but my situation couldn’t be further from that…. but… I am very happy and very content with how my life is going right now.

There is no way I am ready for children, or a mortgage for that matter! I love my own time, my two doggies (who at times act like they’re children!) I enjoy travelling, working on my business, and who knows, I might look at a city move next year…?

My business is really coming together now… and I have so many ventures for next year up my sleeve, that I can’t wait to delve into everything and share it with you guys.

In my book, I talk a lot about how it’s OK not to have your shit together by the time your 30.

Your 20’s are for living and I feel like I have had a pretty wonderful, exciting and fun decade, in which I learned lots about myself.

I am really only finding my feet in the last two years. So don’t fret if you are in your 20’s and you havent found your way yet.. it will happen! Trust me.

For my 30th, I will be spending time with Dylan, my family and friends.

y

Pairs was on the cards… but now thats not happening!

You might remember that for our anniversary, Dylan gave me flight tickets to Paris and a lock in a box (to attach to the famous Love Lock Bridge) so that we could celebrate my 30th in the most romantic city on earth.

Well that is due to happen this week, however I am swamped with work and finalising book stuff so unfortunately we can’t go.. but were thinking about heading in January instead!

I will enjoy spending time with him over the weekend. It doesn’t matter where we are… time together is what matters. 🙂

1When I look at what I have around me:

> A loving and supportive family

> A great group of friends

> A wonderful loving and caring boyfriend

> Two beautiful Maltese that make me smile everyday

> My second book on the verge of launching

> A succssful blog with over 1.1 million readers

> An AMAZING supportive and FASHIONABLE army of followers

….I think I’m doing ok…. so you know what DIRTY 30?

I am ready for you!! 🙂

I hope you have a great day and week!

Sue xx

Harveys point or solis, lough eske castle in donegal both open for Christmas and I would highly recommend either. We have been to both and its hard to choose which is more luxurious plus they both make Christmas feel magical.

Well done Sue, you work very hard…too hard, can’t believe you have to miss out on Paris! 😮 Have a lovely day tomorrow. We were also looking for a hotel over Christmas but they all seem to be closed or just very hard to get at a reasonable price with 3 kids. We booked in for after just xmas though so I can’t wait!

Parknasilla Resort & Spa, Sneem Co. Kerry is a fabulous holiday destination! Just Google it, the location is a piece of heaven! Worked there this past summer and never got used to the views, despite being a local! 🙂
