WEDDING WEEK: Those Special Extra’s!

107

Hey guys!

Hope you’re all having a good Tuesday!

Delighted to hear that lots of you got inspiration from yesterdays post about our wedding entertainment and music!

I’m back today with a post about the special extra touches we had at our wedding as a good few of you had questions about them after spotting them in photos.

I think brides-to-be will really find this post helpful because all of these added to the celebration in some way, be it through the decor, the food, etc.

We were so happy with each one, and our guests absolutely loved them!

Love Lights

These love lights were AMAZING for pictures and such a great way to give the entrance a little personalised light & sparkle!

We had ours right after the flower arch entrance to our wedding reception area.

We hired ours from Galway Love Lightswho were a dream to deal with and so helpful and friendly too.

I would definitely recommend these for parties or occasions. They are so fab. I absolutely loved ours!

Hippenings

I have been a massive fan of Hippenings ever since I used their gorgeous pieces as part of a SOSUbySJ shoot.

Their pieces are so fun and sooo pretty so when I was having my Dublin hen party, I definitely wanted some Hippenings decor there!  For the morning of the wedding, we also had some of their balloons in the house.

Props from Hippenings

Some of you will remember from my Instagram post that we had a white Hippenings balloon in the wedding marquee at Powerscourt as well.

I LOVE the balloons from Hippenings. They’re latex balloons, so they don’t become sheer like normal balloons do once they’re blown up.

These ones keep their colour, which does make a big difference especially in photos. They also have gorgeous tassels as well so the end result is a VERY pretty one!

McGargles Beer

bty

I have always loved things that are personalised so as you can imagine, I this idea the second I heard of McGargles and what they did!

A personalised wedding day brew with a caricature of the bride and groom on the bottle label … such a great memento of the day.

And the lads loved the beer too!

We got ours here.

Shot Glasses

For night 2, the guests were back in full party mode and we knew that plenty of shots would be thrown back, so at the bar, we had these personalised shot glasses which were made by Elaine Leydon at El Create.

I love the saying on the label, ‘take a shot, we’ve tied the knot!’

It’s another fun memento for your guests to have of your wedding day.

Ferrero Roche Pyramid

Ferrero Pyramid: Nice Touch

We had this Ferrero Roche pyramid in place for the full weekend and the guests loved it! We got ours from Limerick company, Nice Touch. There

are smaller pyramids available and as far as I’m aware, there’s a bigger pyramid as well, but this size was just perfect for us.

I think if you want to have a sweet treat for guests, a Ferrero Roche pyramid is a great option and both children and adults love Ferrero so you can’t go wrong.

Newbridge Silverware

As you guys know, the colour scheme for the wedding was rose gold, so when I heard that Newbridge Silverware had launched a collection of rose gold cutlery, myself and my wedding planner Joanne from Gotcha Covered looked into the possibility of having it for the wedding reception.

It genuinely made such a difference to the table setting! It sparkled so beautifully and everyone commented on how stunning it looked.

For the wedding favours, the ladies received Newbridge Silverware compact mirrors while the men received Newbridge Silverware cufflinks.

I loved the detail on both but I especially loved the bow detail on the mirrors. I thought it was such a pretty gift.

Jo Malone scents

I have long been a massive fan of Jo Malone’s scents so when the idea of scenting the ballroom was mentioned to me by my wedding planner Joanne, I jumped at it!

We had Jo Malone’s candles and diffusers in orange blossom on all the tables and they more than lasted a whole weekend of constant burning! They were amazing and fragranced the room so beautifully.

Cheese Cake

sosueme wedding (7)

SuperValu have some seriously amazing speciality cheese cakes so if you want to have a wedding cake with a difference, this would be a great idea! We decided to have ours as part of the BBQ on day 2 and it went down an absolute treat!

There was a also lots of little nibbles with it such as crackers and chutneys so it was heaven for cheese lovers!

There you have it guys, the full lowdown of all the extra special touches!
