Love means different things to different people. But as young impressionable girls we were shown by Disney and Hallmark that it was being rescued by a prince. Or singing in a forest surrounded by little singing creatures. Love was diamond rings and perfect happy ever afters.
However, When we grew up and experienced love ourselves, we realised love is not (always) grand gestures and flawless relationships. Love is in the little things. The every day moments that we sometimes don’t even realise. It’s cooking together, or making a mess washing the dog, comforting one another in bad times and being silly in good times.
Korean artist ‘Puuung’ created a series of beautiful illustrations which she fund to be representative of this ‘real’ every day love.
“Love is something that everybody can relate to. And Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork.”
We absolutely fell in love with these drawings and had to share them with you. They are so true and so meaningful. Have a look through them and you may even recognise some of these ‘moments’ yourself.
