It was always going to be a success… A movie based on some of Channing Tatum’s experiences in his earlier life, and featuring the man himself taking his shirt off alongside the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Alex Pettyfer, Magic Mike scored big both critically and commercially, and now we have the first news of the inevitable sequel.
Brilliantly named Magic Mike XXL, the follow up will be directed by Greg Jacobs, a long time collaborator of Steven Soderbergh, and who was an Assistant Director on the first movie. Channing Tatum is co-writing the script and the original cast are all expected to return!!
Joe Manganiello recently revealed that he’s been eagerly awaiting the sequel, which he said will begin filming this Autumn.
“It was the most fun I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to get back in and mix it up with those guys.”
Who’s looking forward to seeing Channing & Co strip off all over again??!
