REVIEW: Two Of My Beauty Favs!

what i wore 5

IF there is one thing you know about me from reading my blog regularly, it’s that I adore having a highlighter under my foundation to give off that glowy skin look.

Yesterday I reviewed an amazing No7 Instant Radiance Beauty Balm which almost acts as a moisturiser and gives the skin a radiant look, but even after I have used the balm after moisturising, I always mix my foundation with some sort of a highlighter as well.

Recently I have just started using the Fuschia Mineral foundation and I love it, but as I described in my review, I also apply a little bit of liquid foundation first to conceal any blemishes and then I apply the mineral. While I am applying my foundation first, I always mix with some highlighter and lately I am loving these two beauty gems!!

1. Seventeen WOW! Tan Liquid Glow

It seems any Seventeen products that I try, I end up loving them and this is no different. When I was sent this product a few weeks ago, I posted a picture of it to my Instagram and loads of you already loved it or you wanted to find out what I thought.

Of course I never review a product after only one use, so I am only getting around to reviewing it now – and I have to say, it’s AMAZING!

Not only is it a highlighter that you can mix with your foundation, you can also use it to contour, or dab it onto your cheek bones for that highlight, lighten and wake up your skin with a luminous glow all over like I do or apply it to you collar bones and shin bones for that extra glowy tanned look!

It’s simply brilliant and for just €7.59, you really cant go wrong!

How To Apply It:

When I first tried to pump the product up to the top, it took me a bit of fiddling around. The liquid itself is quite thick for a highlighter – so I had to loosen the cap, dab it in and out a few time and then pump. The highlighter floods to the top and I always apply it on to my hand first so the lotion can liquify as much as possible with the heat of my hand, that way it’s easier to blend and apply

1. I always apply my moisturiser and No 7 Radiant Balm

2. Apply a 50 cent coin onto your hand

3. Get a duo fibre foundation brush and apply the highlight all over the face.

4. You can also mix it with your foundation on your hand before applying as well – whatever you prefer. Then apply your foundation.

5. I then apply my mineral foundation from Fuschia over my entire face for extra coverage and staying power.

I will be recording my FULL foundation routine this week, so stay tuned for that 🙂 Now on to the second little favourite of mine….

2. Vita Libera Skin Perfecting Illuminisor/ Light Capture (Latte)

IMG_2718

Ok so this highlighter is similar to Seventeen, a little more expensive …. BUT in my opinion it’s better for that tanned face with a glow look and it has SPF in it too which is GREAT for your skin especially now that summer is rolling around.

In a nut shell this is an amazing skin illuminator with a BB bronzing cream finish that adds colour, creating or enhancing tanned skin.

I am using the Latte one – there is a few different shades, and the colour it gives is a gorgeous medium-dark bronzed look. Its amazing for offering that illuminating skin finish that enhances pale skin.

When I used this for the first time, lots of people were asking if I was wearing tan on my face. I had literally applied a small amount of this to my skin under my foundation.

Again this multi use little miracle potion promises photo ready skin for the legs, arms and face – and that’s exactly what it does. With an SPF of 25  – this illuminator is a perfect holiday essential that protects and perfects! I adore it.

How To Apply:

Same as above.

Price: €37.50

Thats is true about the SPF – but for some reason with this, it just creates a glow rather than a white face…. see here. Thanks for your lovely comments xx

Love your reviews Sue, its great that you only give reviews about products that you honestly like ☺ Will definitely be trying the Seventeen one with a price like that!! Was just wondering tho about products for the face containing SPF, I know its so important to protect your skin during the day. But for night time make up, is it true that SPF reflects the light in flash photography and that’s what can give that dreaded ‘pale face-tanned neck’ look? How do you avoid this? Xx
