HOW TO: Get Longer Lasting Makeup? Try The NYX Setting Spray!

nyx setting spray main

I was never one for finishing or setting sprays, but after trying the NYX cosmetics one over the weekend, I think I might be converted.

A finishing (or Setting) spray is a weightless mist that seals your makeup into place and offers that fresh make up look that lasts.

Over the weekend, I tried the new NYX Makeup Dewy Fresh Glow Setting Spray and I was pleasantly surprised how it made sure my makeup stayed put all day, right through to the night.

The NYX setting sprays come in a  Matte Shine-Free Finish or Dewy Fresh Glow. Obviously, me being me, I opted for the dewy finish and I was impressed.

Granted the use of a good primer will do the same job, and I have found a new amazing one by the way, review soon – but using this setting spray coupled with a primer, your makeup really will last all day and I highly recommend that you to invest in both products.

If you are always finding your makeup wears off during the day, ensure that you;

a) Use a good primer

B) Powder your makeup

C) Use a good setting spray

How to use: Shake, spray and set! Shake the bottle and spray onto your face from a 6inch distance. The spray will then set your make up resisting unwanted colour fade. If your face feels slightly wet after wards, pat with a tissue.

TIP: When I opened the NYX setting spray for the fist time, I sprayed it a few times into a tissue prior to spraying on to my face, just incase they was some blocked air bubbles or something. The last thing you want is a massive spurt of wet setting spray to ruin your makeup 😉

    Hi there, I have been searching and testing about every Setting Spray on the market including this one from NYX. Only set back with this product is that the label says it was made in P.R.C. (china), and if i’m spraying it all over my pores and inhaling it I can’t trust that its good for my skin with China’s poor health standards. Be careful when using products made in china and keep an eye on those labels!! 😉
