Buy Of The Week: Eyebrows, Lips and a Wonderful BB Cream!

opening image

Hey guys,

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a nice weekend?

I was due to have a photo-shoot today but I woke up yesterday morning with conjunctivas, so I had to cancel it. My eye is SO swollen, runny and itchy 🙁

But anyway – today I want to tell you about a new range of products!

A few weeks back, the guys over at Cailyn Ireland invited me to try a few products from their range. I had actually never heard of this brand until they got in touch, so I was really intrigued to see what it was like. I think all make-up lovers can agree that there’s something really exciting about trying out a new brand!

Over the weeks I started to use some of the products and the x4 I am about to tell you about now are so good, I had to write a blog about them. One of these products in particular surprised me in a BIG way!

1. BB Fluid Touch Compact €29.99

foundation
I was never one for BB creams. I always thought they were more suitable for people who preferred lighter coverage products such as tinted moisturisers rather than full-on foundation. I wasn’t even going to get the BB Fluid Touch Compact until I read that it gives a dewy and luminous finish to your complexion. Sold! You know me and dewy products! Can’t resist trying them out.

Now, I don’t know if BB creams have improved since I last tried one, or if this one just happens to be really good, but I found it gave me great coverage! I was actually quite surprised by how good the coverage was because like I said, I always associated BB creams with being rather like tinted moisturisers. The good thing about the Fluid Touch is that you can wear it on it’s own, or you can use it as a dewy base for your foundation. As well as giving my skin a dewy natural-looking finish, the BB Fluid Touch has pretty impressive staying power. (I love 04- nutmeg)

It’s a foundation, corrector, brightener, and moisturiser all in one, and having tried it a few times, I can honestly say it lives up to all those promises. It’s very user-friendly too. It comes in a neat compact, and whenever you want to dispense some BB cream, you just press a button and a little pops out of the centre. Absolutely no wastage of product whatsoever. Once you have the compact, you can just buy refills, so you save money in the long run too! I now use it a lot of the time as my base foundation and I have to say, I love it.

2. Gelux Eyebrows €19.99

eyebrows

VERY excited to tell you about this little gem! Gelux Eyebrows is without a shadow of a doubt every bit as good as the Anastasia Brow Pomade, and better still, it’s a fraction of the price!

I have been a massive fan of the Anastasia Brow Pomade ever since I picked it up during my trip to New York last year, and while other products have come close to it, none of them were ever equally as good as it in terms of results. Anastasia was always just that bit better. The moment I tried the Gelux eyebrow product, I couldn’t believe how similar it was to the one from Anastasia.

I applied it in the morning before heading off to some meetings, and I slipped it in my handbag in case I needed to touch it up a little later, but as it turns out, that wasn’t necessary at all! The colour remained perfect, and I can 100% vouch for its brilliant staying power.

It’s also extremely handy in that the angled brow brush doubles up as the lid of the bottle. So if like me, you sometimes forget to bring your brow brush with you, at least with this product, you are never caught short!

I’m really not surprised it’s an award-winning product. ( I like the colour oak)

3. Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss €16.99

lipstick

I was so pleased that this lip gloss wasn’t the sort that had a sticky texture. I hate sticky glosses because your hair always gets stuck in them and they are just generally annoying, but fortunately, this one wasn’t at all like that.

It’s a gorgeous light reflecting gloss that looks really good when worn either on its own or over some lipstick. As it’s a gloss, it’s staying power naturally isn’t going to be the best, but that said, I really couldn’t find any fault with it. The colours are also quite beautiful so overall, I was pretty glad I chose this product as part of my fave picks.

This one is Winter Blossom

So there is three new product for you guys to check out – I am super impressed with them!!

If you are going to try one – get the BB cream – it’s simply amazing!

Have any of you used this range before?

Sue xx
