My Favourite 5 Foundations For A/W!

00There is nothing quite like finding the perfect foundation.

After all, the right foundation can totally transform your complexion, hide any imperfections, as well as highlight all your best features.

For me, a good foundation is key, and I’m sure you guys feel the same.  If there is one question I am asked a lot on my soicla media, it has to be ‘What Foundation Are You Wearing’! As I am constantly testing new foundations, my favourites do change, but so far, these are the five that I am absolutely LOVING, some in the list are long time faves!

You can read last years foundation faves here.

Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation

I have been raving about this foundation ever since I first tried it. If you like the idea of a foundation that feels lightweight enough to make you forget you are even wearing foundation, then you need to try Chanel’s Vitalumiere.

I can totally see why this is Jennifer Aniston’s favourite foundation (and let’s face it, she has never had a bad makeup day!) Chanel Vitalumiere literally stays in place for the whole day. It also looks very natural on the skin.

Considering how light it feels when on, I was surprised by the level of coverage it offered. If you want to splurge on a foundation, this one gets the thumbs up from me!

Lancome’s Teint Visionnaire Foundation
02
There are two parts to Lancome’s Teint Visionnaire foundation.

On the lid, you will find a high coverage corrector that is fantastic for reducing the appearance of under eye circles and hiding any pesky imperfections. Underneath, in the bottle, is the Flawless Perfecting Foundation, which will visibly improve the appearance of your skin as well as reduce the visibility of your pores.

Lancome’s Teint Visionnaire has everything you will need from a foundation. It is so beautiful to wear, and even though it offers excellent coverage, it still feels very light on the skin.

This is also a great foundation for mature skin, as it will hide the fine lines as well as any discolouration.

I fell in love with it right from the moment I tried it. It lasts for ages too, and, in my opinion, the longevity of this foundation is equaled only by that of its amazing dewy results.

The colour I am wearing in the pictures is 04 Beige Natural.

Makeup Forever HD Foundation

3
Makeup Forever HD Foundation earned its place on this list thanks to the airbrushed effect it gives!

This is such a beautiful foundation and I always love how nicely it evens out my skin. It provides medium coverage, and while although it is good for hiding redness, it won’t fully cover blemishes. That said, it is still a fab foundation to wear and definitely one I would recommend you try.

For the best results, I often mix this foundation with my Chanel Vitalumiere foundation. The two products look AMAZING when worn together.

CrownBrush Illuminating Foundation

2All my regular readers know how much I love products that create a gorgeous dewy glow, and CrownBrush’s Illuminating foundation is definitely one such product! You can read my full review here.

I was lucky enough to try it before it was officially released, and I have to say, I was hooked on it from the get go! Every time I wear it, I feel as though it is hydrating my skin, and I love how much it enhances my complexion too.

It’s creamy texture provides a light to medium coverage, however you can really build on this if you feel you need extra coverage.

Maybelline Fit Me

1
When it comes to pharmacy foundations, Maybelline’s Fit Me foundation is by far the best. I have stocked up my makeup drawer with this one!

Whenever I wear it, I don’t even look like I’m wearing makeup, I just look as though I have really great skin, and that’s ALWAYS a sure sign you are wearing a great foundation.

The Fit Me foundation really evened out my skin tone. It also offered the most amazing coverage, but at no point did it look or feel heavy, which is a major bonus in my book. In fact, my favourite thing about this foundation is how lightweight it feels!

If you’re wondering about setting mu foundations; I always tend to powder my foundation with a mineral foundation! My fave is Fuschia, which you can read about here.

There you go guys, my favourite five foundations!

Let me know your favourites and I’ll give them a try sometime!

Sue xx
