My Favourite Beauty Buys Of 2014!

Desktop13

Last year I did a beauty buy round up of the year and a lot of you seemed to have enjoyed that blog post, so this year – I’m back again.

Throughout the year and being a beauty blogger I got to try and test a hell of a lot of products! The ones I loved made an appearance here in a review format and the ones that didn’t – well … they went in the bin!

Out of all the wonderful products I loved this year, these 10 were my ultimate fave! Have a read and see if any of your faves are on the list!

1. The NYX Butter Lip Glosses

nyx-lipgloss-1024x1024

My handbag everyday has one of these glosses in it! Buttery soft and silky smooth, the NYX Butter Lip Gloss tastes & smells delicious…. but what I really love about them – they are silky smooth and NEVER sticky!

I hate sticky lip-glosses, they’re a bugger for causing your hair to get stuck to your lips and they feel horrible and yucky on….. but these butter glosses are so hydrating, smooth and not too shiney, which is a major thumbs up for me! For just €6.49 and in a range of colours/tones – these lip-glosses are a must try! You can read my review in full here.

2. Fuschia Mineral Foundation

The Fuschia mineral foundation guarantees the perfect finish every time and when I wear this powder over my foundation – people always comment on my skin being flawless (which its totally not by the way). This silky mineral powder brushes onto the skin, giving really goodl coverage and a lightweight feel at the same time. Completely natural, these foundations give a healthy natural glow to all skin types and all ages, and will adapt to suit your skin. You can read my full review here.

3. No7 Skin IlluminatorRadiance Boosting Fluid

This product sold out of boots this year after I reviewed it and I am not surprised why. It is simply genius! What I love about this product is the application. At the top there is a little brush, so you squeeze the tube and up pops a gorgeous creamy texture that is packed with particles of iridescent shimmer helping your skin to reflect the light, giving you that perfectly healthy glow. I apply this just before my foundation every morning after my moisturiser and I love it – it 100% makes a difference to my foundation application. You can real my full review here.

4. The NYC Big Bold Mascara

Need I say anymore? This mascara is so good and I keep going back to it!! Read my full review here.

5. The No7 Eye Makeup Remover / Clairns Eye Makeup Remover

These eye makeup removers have been a god send. Both are amazing and remove almost anything from the eyes!! Eyelash glue – GONE, Eyeliner – GONE, Drk Shadows – GONE, Benefit Theyre Real Mascara – GONE. Every makeup lover needs one of these on their bathroom shelf. You can read my N07 review here.

6. The SoSueMe Limited Brush Set

Ok so it’s kinda cringe that I am listing one of my own… but hey, why not… it is amazing, hand on heart!! My limited Edition Brush set – the 10 MUST have brushes you need all in one set!! Lots of you have been tweeting an tagging me on Instagram telling me how happy you are with the set – I am so glad to hear that. Let me know if any of you get it xmas morning 🙂 In my opinion, it’s the best brush set out there. You can purchase it here for €85.

7. The CrownBrush Concealer Palette

Contouring!? Isnt it just the dream!! I love it and do it all of the time, especially for nights out. Containing six different cream based concealers, this palette allows you to combine shades to create tone for your contoured look. I use the shade next to the lilac tone for my highlight and the extra dark colour for my contour. The key to H&C is to BLEND, Blend blend. You have to spend an extra few minutes blending out the concealers, but the final look is so worth it.

To apply my highlight and to blend, I used this brush

8. The Balm NudeTude Palette

This amazing palette consists of 12 beautiful shadows that make wearing nudes hot! You guys know I love a good eyeshadow palette and this has to be a 21014 fave!! Perfect for creating both night and day looks – this palette goes everywhere with me. You can read my full review here.

9. The Inglot Sparkling Dust

A favourite yet again this year!! This subtle yet highly pigmented loose highlighting powder is the perfect shade that can be used on any skin tone. The thing I love about this sparkling dust is that it can be mixed into your foundation thus helping to create that ‘subtle natural glow’. It is perfect for highlighting your brows, cheekbones, the neckline area, shoulders and all over the body. This powder will add a little magic to you skin! I love it! 10. Kinvara Rose Hip Serum
