Ever wondered what skin care products Kate Middleton uses every day? Or how about the contents of the makeup bags belonging to flawless beauties such as Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Scherzinger?
I know I have always wanted to find out the gem of a product Lady Gaga uses to keep her makeup so perfectly in place during those heavy duty dance routines, especially when most of us have to retouch our foundation after running up a flight of stairs! Haha!
Well I decided to put together a list of the makeup and skincare products loved by a few of our favourite celebs!
Jennifer Aniston: Chanel
How Jennifer Aniston always manages to look so effortlessly amazing, I will never know, but what I do know is the name of her favourite foundation! She loves Chanel’s Aqua Vitalumere, which I myself have used, reviewed, and adored! (Last year, I even featured it as one of my top five foundations)
The actress is a big fan of Chanel cosmetics in general, and she particularly loves their Inimitable Mascara. Her famous golden colour is thanks to Chanel’s Moisturizing Bronzing Powder (in the shade terre amber) which she loves to use on her cheeks as she particularly likes the shimmer it contains!
Kate Middleton: Karin Herzog
Kate Middleton has been using the Karin Herzog brand since her university days, and is said to rely hugely on these products to control breakouts and calm any skin irritations. You wouldn’t think it, but the Duchess of Cambridge is prone to troublesome skin! Who knew?
In the months leading up to the royal wedding, the Karin Herzog company officially confirmed that Kate used their:
- Oxygen face cream,
- Vita-A-Kombi 3 Spot Zapper,
- Professional cleanser,
- Glycolic Rose Gel.
Nicole Scherzinger: Armani
Nicole Scherzinger is famously flawless, and this is thanks in part to her great skin, but also her two staple cosmetics, Armani Fluid Sheer Embellisher, which she uses as a primer, and Armani Face Fabric Foundation. She also loves to use Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat Complexion Highlighter to give certain parts of her face a nice glow. Additionally, her favourite mascara is Dior Backstage Diorshow Mascara, while her favourite brand for lip colour is MAC Tinted Lipglass.
Lana Del Rey: Yves Saint Laurent
Dramatic winged eyeliner … pale dewy foundation … fake eyelashes … lots of lipstick …. big hair … Lana Del Rey’s look has been the subject of many a Youtube tutorial and it’s easy to see why.
When it comes to her makeup, Lana loves to channel the ‘sixties siren’ vibe, and in fairness, it’s a look that suits her and one she carries off pretty well. Yves Saint Laurent is the brand Lana turns to for most of her cosmetic purchases, in particular, her mascaras and lipsticks. She said in the past that she loves the YSL lipstick shade “Blonde Ingénue”. Her trademark winged eyeliner is usually created using MAC’s Fluidline Paint Pot gel liner in ‘Blacktrack’, while that nice glow you often see on her cheekbones is the work of the amazing Armani Fluid Sheer highlighter. Even though she doesn’t always wear foundation, opting instead for a tinted moisturiser, the one thing she always wears is a strip of fake lashes!
Lady Gaga: Skindinavia
If any of you have been to a Lady Gaga concert, you will know that she isn’t one to sit still, and yet despite this, her makeup always stays so perfectly in place!
Well it turns out, her secret is Skindinavia’s No More Shine or Moisture Lock Makeup Finish spray. It is spritzed onto Lady Gaga’s face before she hits the stage!
Angelina Jolie: Yonka, La Prairie, Laura Mercier
Angelina Jolie is said to be a fan of the product Colbert MD Nutrify and Protect Day age-defying cream, and has also apparently been known to use La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Luxe Cream as well as Lierac Paris Aqua-D Multivitamine Tinted Emulsion. Yonka is another reported favourite of Jolie’s, in particular their product, Advanced Optimizer Creme Serum.
In terms of makeup, Angelina keeps it as simple as possible, and will often step out wearing just a touch of some Clé de Peau Beauté concealer, or some Laura Mercier Secret Camoflauge. When it comes to foundation, she likes to use Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup, an oil-free medium-coverage foundation.
