Their flawless complexions are the work of Dr Nigma Talib, a naturopathic doctor, medical aesthetician and authority on holistic skincare.

Dr Talib may be the first port of call for celebs, but luckily for us, she hasn’t shied away from revealing the tricks she swears by when it comes to keeping skin in tip-top condition.

We can’t wait to try her skin brightening DIY treatment, which she developed when she had to be up early for a slot on breakfast television and needed something that would de-puff her face.

Given the credentials of the woman who created it, this mask is a total game changer!

All you have to do is blend half a cucumber with ¾ cup aloe vera juice, ½ a teaspoon turmeric powder and ¼ cup water. Now pour the mix into ice-cube trays and freeze. When you need to brighten the skin, wrap a cube in a handkerchief or facecloth and massage it into the skin until it melts. This will wakes up tried skin and leave it looking refreshed!

Considering how amazing her own skin looks, we are also going to try this next tip from Dr Talib which she revealed in an interview with The Telegraph.

Every morning, she enjoys a smoothie filled with the following powerful skin-loving ingredients: maca powder, flaxseeds, spirulina, blueberries and water.

When it comes to food, Dr Talib also follows the 80:20 rule, largely steering clear of dairy, gluten and sugar, all of which can have a negative affect on skin. For a filling meal, she instead opts for healthy a mix of tofu and vegetables with chilli.

For skincare treatments, she likes to use a snail mucus mask twice a week but she also hits the steam room once a week to rid her complexion of any impurities. Following the steam room, she always goes for a peat moss and mud bath, which, she says, helps her circulation and skin texture.

The skincare expert also revealed that every 3 weeks for the past 7 years she has been following her own skincare programme which involves a Dermaroller (micro needling), peel, LED, and oxygen.

And of course, every day she wears a high SPF as well as sunglasses with UV protection, regardless of the weather.
