Happy Friday! Hope you’re all set for the weekend.
I’m doing a mini clear out of my wardrobe this evening! Felt it was time to create some space so I have uploaded some pieces to my Depop. If you’re on it, you will find me on @sosueme_ie.
So as most of you know from my Snapchat I went on a 2 day press trip to London with MAC this week. This is the part of blogging that is SO much fun!
After checking in at my hotel, The Mondarin, which was so beautiful, (my room was all kinds of amazing!) I was brought to the Grosvenor Place venue, One Belgravia, for a 2016 MAC Trends Presentation.
Here we learned all about the different makeup trends that are going to be huge this year (HELLO GLITTER!) and we also got to try out some of the products.
MAC very kindly gifted us some beautiful goodies which I can’t wait to try out in upcoming tutorials I have planned!
That night we went to the hotel’s Dandelyon Bar for drinks and then on to the Sea Containers Resturant for a beautiful meal with MAC’s Terry Barber and Lesley Keane.
The following day, I had meetings with different Estee Lauder brands including Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone, Origins, Aveda, Tom Ford Smashbox, and La Mer.
They told us all about new releases they have coming up and also showed us some of the most fab pigments and shades in everything from eyeshadows to blushers.
Those of you on my Snapchat will no doubt remember those amazing Bobbi Brown highlighters I videoed! WOW!
One of the products I tried out that day was a stunning MAC lipstick called Pressed & Ready, which is a fab nude shade. (What is it with me and nude shades lately?!)
I also tried a dark nude/brown shade from the Bobbi Brown range that was absolutely fab on. Very Kylie Jenner… it was called Bobbi 37 and I adore it.
Thinking back, my favourite product overall though had to be the Bobbi Brown blue-based red lipstick called Imperial Red 41.
If you like movie-star red lips, then you will adore this shade! It’s so dramatic but it has such a beautiful sheen to it too.
I posted pictures of my outfit to my Instagram and most of you guys seemed to love the (very!) ripped jeans.
I wasn’t that keen on the shoes though. I really like them but not with those jeans. When I was buying them, I pictured them looking very different under those jeans. Unfortunately I couldn’t change them on the night as they were the only pair I had packed!
Here are all the details:
Have a great weekend, guys!
