My Makeup Details & What I Wore To Fusion Drogheda!

suzanne jackson

Hi guys!

Hope you all had a great weekend and a stress-free first day back at work.

I have literally had a day of meetings so I’m pretty tired myself! I’m about to go grab some dinner with Dylan but before I do, I wanted to blog about the makeup I wore on Saturday night for my blogging & beauty talk at Fusion in Drogheda.

When I posted the picture of me wearing the SOSU lashes, lot’s of you started asking me about the rest of my makeup, so I decided to put all the details in one place! Before I got any further however, here’s a picture of the 2 styles I will be launching!

In case you missed my announcement over on my Instagram last week, they’re going to be available in July from pharmacies nationwide as well as on SOSU.ie.

I’m really excited for you guys to see them because they’re a LONG time in the works. It’s been worth it though. I have been road testing them myself for months now – trialing them, changing them, re-wearing them until they were just right – and I’m now obsessed with the finished product and the look they create!

I’m going to have 8 styles of human hair lashes that will retail at €5.95, and 5 styles of lashes in the luxury 3D silk range – which can be used up to 25+ times – that will retail at €19.95. If you love the supper-fluffy, Kim Kardashian lash look, then you will adore the luxury lash range.

As I promised on my Instagram, I will do a product reveal on all styles on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks!

But now on to Saturday night’s makeup!

As always, I started off with my Flormar Double Radiance Primer. I have been obsessed with this ever since I first came across it! You know how much I love the dewy effect and this really product helps create that look, plus it’s also a great base too.

Next I evened out my skin tone by applying a very light layer of foundation using Bourjois City Randiance Foundation.

For my high coverage foundation, I used shade 4 from my SOSU Contour Palette. I know it’s technically a concealer but whenever I have false tan on, I love using it as foundation. It’s such a nice shade. (For those wondering, I will have some limited stock of my contour palette available online next week from www.sosu.ie)

Would you believe, I’ve already received messages from a good few palette owners asking me to bring out shade 4 as a foundation on its own!

Next it was on to contouring and highlighting, which I carried out using my palette.

For my blush, I used  my new MAC blush in shade Raizin, which is a gorgeous bronze-burgundy colour.

It’s a beautiful shade for summer and looks really nice on the apples of the cheeks.

To set everything, I used the powders from my palette.

My SOSU Lashes in ‘Kim’

Next I got to work on the eyes. For this I used the new MAC eyeshadow palettes I got when over in London last week on a MAC press trip. As you would expect form MAC, the colours are beautiful. Really fab pigments.

I used a mixture. First I applied the shade ‘Cozy Grey’ all over lid and very slightly blended it into the crease of my eyelid.

I then applied the shade ‘Cool Complement’ into my crease, before adding the shade ‘Don’t Tell’ all over the lid. Following this, I used a light touch of the shade ‘Aromatic’ in the crease just to smoke it out a little more.

Once all the shades were blended nicely, I used the Crownbrush Studio Glam Eyeliner in Black on my upper lid. This would be one of my top 5 favourite liquid eyeliners because it’s really long-lasting and has quite a deep black pigment too.

I then applied my new MAC mascara in black. It’s called Pro Beyond Twisted Lash. I wasn’t a big fan of MAC’s previous mascara, but I am really loving this one. It’s honestly so good. The next time you’re at the MAC counter, ask one of the MAC girls to try it out on you and you will see how fab it looks!

Next I applied a strip of my new lashes. I used my SOSU Luxury Silk Lashes in ‘Kim’.

With the upper eye now complete, I started on the lower lash line by applying a burnt orange shade  – Inglot number 605 – and I then smoked it out using a Crownbrush blending brush.Models Own Eye Definer Kohl Liner

For the eyeliner on my waterline, I used the Models Own Eye Definer Kohl Liner in black. They very kindly sent me some products last week so I will let you know how I get on with the other products. So far though, I’m really impressed with Models Own.

I have been using some of the products they sent and I also swatched a few and honest to God guys, the quality is unreal!

I expected Models Own products to be pretty good because I had often heard the American bloggers raving about the brand but I didn’t realise how good they were until I tried them for myself.

MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash

Once the kohl liner was applied, I ran my new MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash mascara through my lower lashes.

To finish, I packed on some more of my own SOSU highlighter before then misting my face with Urban Decay Setting Spray which is brilliant for holding my makeup in place for the night.

Lot’s of you also sent me questions on Saturday night about my outfit.

I posted the details on my social media, but in case you missed them, here they are again!
