My Top 3 Eyeliners

53

Hi everyone!

At my workshops, we always talk about the best eyeliners. So I decided to do a blog post on my top 3.

As you guys know, I’m a massive fan of eyeliner. For me, eye makeup is just not complete without it. I especially love going for a dramatic winged look whenever I’m heading out for a night with friends. It really helps add to that smokey eye effect.

I also adore watching YouTube tutorials on eyeliners, (Desi Makeup is just sooo good!)

There are absolutely tons of different eyeliners out there – ranging from gel, to liquid, to good old pencil – and even though I am constantly trying out new liner products and brands, I have yet to find any that beat my all time top 3 favourites!

These 3 vary in texture but they all give a great finish and are so long-lasting.

Inglot Gel Liner – shade number 77 (€15)

inglot eyeliner

I have raved about the Inglot Gel Liner in a number of previous blog posts because it’s genuinely so so good!

What I love most about it is the intensity of the colour. I like really deep black eyeliners, and this one is the blackest one I have ever come across.

Once on, it doesn’t budge. It’s EXTREMELY strong which is both a good and a bad thing. On the upside, it will last for hours and hours without even needing a top up, but on the downside, if you make a mistake when applying it, it’s not so easy to remove without the help of an oil based solution, which isn’t ideal when you already have your makeup applied.

It’s waterproof as well, so if you get teary at weddings, then this is the liner to use because it definitely won’t run!

Some people find gel liners slightly difficult to work with, so if you want to dilute it a little and make it easier to apply, then Inglot have a  lwonderful gem of a product called Duraline. This will give the gel liner a more liquid consistency.

If you are not that confident when it comes to applying eyeliner, and you want to use a gel pot, then this might be a big tough to work with given how difficult it is to remove once a mistake is made. In that situation, I would recommend the Crownbrush gel pot.

This has a wonderful intensity in terms of pigment but is easily corrected and removed if you make an error.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner (€8.99)

Rimmel Glam Eyes is another liner you might remember me raving about time and time again. This, in my opinion, is up there with the very best of them. Whether you’re a makeup beginner or a makeup pro, it’s a liner that will serve you well.

I love using it to create the eyeliner flick, and it’s particularly handy if you’re applying the liner in a hurry as it doesn’t require much time. The tip of the liner wand is amazing for precision.

It’s one of those fool-proof liners so if you make a mistake, it won’t be much trouble to correct it.

MAC’s Kohl Eyeliner Pencil (€18)

MAC’s Kohl Eyeliner Pencil is, in my opinion, the best of the eyeliner pencils on the market.MAC

It has a really nice waxy texture and the pigment is a really intense black. It’s a little longer lasting than your average pencil liner and it’s a product that you will last you for ages! I think I’ve had mine around 2 years now.

While I do love the gel liner, the MAC pencil or the Rimmel Glam Eyes are both so much handier for popping into the handbag.

I used Inglot Gel Pot liner on the upper lid and my MAC Kohl Pencil on the waterline
