My Top 5 Eye Makeup Brushes!

cb

Hi guys!

First of all, thank you SO much for all your lovely comments about the 8 new shades in the SOSU S/S collection. It’s such a great feeling to know that you love them as much as I do. Because so much time and work is invested in each colour, I always get really nervous before I unveil a new range.

Fortunately though, I couldn’t have asked for better feedback. I’m absolutely delighted that you’re all excited about trying them.

So this evening, I am going to talk makeup brushes!

Not a week goes by that I don’t receive questions about my favourite Crownbrushuk brushes, especially when it comes to eye makeup.

Over the weekend, I Snapchatted a picture of my current top 5 (Don’t forget you can follow me on Snapchat on sosueme_ie)

These were the brushes I used to create my smokey eye makeup look last Saturday night. I actually blogged about this look yesterday so if you want the full product list, you can find it right here.

Anyway back to the brushes!

There are SO many eye makeup brushes on the Crownbrush Website, and I think I have probably tried them all at this stage. In the end though, it really all comes down to personal preference, and for me, these are the top 5 that I love and use the most.

Don’t forget, if you have any Crownbrush-related questions, just pop them in the comment box below.

 Crownbrush C433 Pro Blending Fluff

The C433 Pro Blending Fluff is brilliant for applying the product onto the lid and blending it in as you go. It’s particular good for helping to create a soft smokey look too because you can use it to slightly smudge the eyeshadow into the crease.

This brush has long been a favourite of mine. I featured it on the blog in the past because it’s pretty good for for applying and blending concealer and eyeshadow primer as well.

Crownbrush C468 Smokey Eye Liner / C475 Silicon Angle Liner

The C468 Smokey Eye Liner is really good for smudging eyeshadow on the lower lash line, but I love using it to apply Shade 3 from my SOSU Contour Palette directly underneath my brow line.

The tapered edge of the brush is also amazing for helping to create a soft smoky eye with your liner. You really do need the right brush when it comes to smudging the liner and in my opinion, the C468 is perfect for for the job.

The C475 Silicon Angle Liner is a brilliant tool to have for those days when only a sharp winged eyeliner will do.

The angle of the brush and the tightly packed bristles means it can create a very precise line thus making it an amazing tool for styling and lining your brows.

It can be used in gel, liquid and powdered products.

Crownbrush C441 Pro Blending Crease / Crownbrush SS027 DLX. Blending Crease

I firmly maintain that blending brushes are by far the most important tools of any makeup kit. This is true for face makeup and in particular eye makeup. The C441 Pro Blending Crease and the SS027 DLX. Blending Crease are my two current favourites. They’re a crucial part of my eye makeup routine and I would be absolutely lost without them!

I love the C441 because it’s so good for blending out the eyeshadow and creating a nice smokey effect.

The SS027 is amazing for really getting into the crease of the lid and helping to blend the second shade into the first. Together these brushes create that seamless effect.

I always say creating the perfect smoky eye takes lots of practice, but if you have these 2 brushes, you are half way there.

You can shop all of these brushes here.

Let me know your favourites!
