My Top 5 Bronzers!

cover pic

Where would us ladies be without our bronzers?

I mean, the right one can practically transform your features in minutes (watch my how to contour tutorial here). Suddenly, you have defined cheekbones, a sculpted jawline, a slimmer nose…. and don’t get me started on the gorgeous sunkissed glow you get from some bronzing gems!

If you’re anything like myself, your bronzing compact is an integral part of your makeup bag, and one you would probably be lost without!

I am often asked by SoSueMe readers for bronzer recommendations, but I can never choose just one because different products have different aspects that I love.

That’s why I have decided to put together a list of my top five!

1. Sleek Contouring Palette (dark)  €7.99

50390526-1_4This compact is utterly brilliant for helping to achieve a nicely sculpted and contoured appearance. It also fits so neatly into my makeup bag – (always a big plus when you’re on the go as much as I am!)

The two matte shades can be used either individually or combined, but the bronzing section of this duo has made its way into my top five because of its ultra smooth application. It also blends so well into my foundation.

2. Fuschia Bronzing Powder (Cocoa Bronze) €15

I’m a big fan of the Fuschia range, and you may remember their products being the subject of many a SoSueMe review in the past!

Well, their bronzing powder is a massive love of mine! It gives wonderful definition to cheekbones, and the result is really natural-looking too. I mostly use this bronzer as my ultimate contour.

3. SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Cream Bronzer – €6.29

I regularly turn to Seventeen’s Instant Glow Cream Bronzer whenever I want to add a soft sunkissed glow to my skin. It is also a fantastic product to use when contouring, and I have often chosen it as the darker shade for my own contouring routine. I just love its dewy glow!

The bronzer’s creamy texture makes it so ridiculously easy to both apply and blend in, and its staying power is excellent!

In the photo above, I applied the product using the C450 brush from the Crownbrush collection.

4. MAC Mineralise Skin Finish (Gold Deposit)

This is a super glam bronzer which I often like to wear on a night out. The flecks of gold throughout the powder are so beautiful on the skin but yet not too shimmery either! It has just the right consistency to give the skin a gorgeous natural-looking glow, and, because the colour blends in so flawlessly, it really finishes a look too (which would explain why it’s called ‘Skin Finish!)

It is great for highlighting the decolletage area too. Considering a little goes a long way with this product, you will have it for ages!

(Available from MAC Brown Thomas)

5. Bourjois Delice De Poudre – €9.50

Poudre-Bronzante-Bourjois-2014

You may not immediately recognise the name, but you will definitely recognise the product! Yes, it’s the one that famously looks like a chocolate bar!

This bronzer has long been a huge bestseller for Bourjois, and, when I use it, it’s easy to see why. It’s such a great quality product, and the result you get from it is so natural.

Similar to the MAC bronzer above, it has a slight touch of gold which gives the skin a beautiful golden glow. It also smells deliciously chocolatey!
