Northern Ireland – THANK YOU!

2017-05-08_2217_001

Hi guys!

How amazing is that weather?

You’d almost forget you were in Ireland, it’s that sunny!  I can’t help but think about my wedding and the weather and truth be told, if I get weather half as good as that for our wedding day, I will be the happiest bride in the world! But then again, it is Ireland… so we will prepare for the torrential rain and enjoy it as a bonus if we get the sun 🙂

I have to say, having the sun splitting the trees for the weekend while we were hosting our Northern Ireland workshop at The Galgorm Resort and Spa was a real bonus! Everyone had that extra spring in their step, and the summer style was wow, not the mention how amazing the hotel looked while the sun was shining, you’d think you were in Spain!

During the breaks at last weekend’s workshops, we really enjoyed the walk from them function room to the hotel for our afternoon tea (lunch) each day! The grounds of The Galgorm Resort & Spa are so beautiful anyway, but in that weather, it was all so absolutely stunning!

Fortunately, it wasn’t too difficult to stay inside for the day. The workshops were so much fun, and the Northern Irish girls in attendance were all so nice and not to mention, great craic! The style stakes were also very high on both Saturday and Sunday, I was asking everyone at the end where they got their outfits – everyone looked a million dollars. The glamour in the room on both days was just out of this world really, I couldn’t believe how much effort everyone went to!

I know some of you on social media were wondering why we held two workshops on this occasion. Well, we had originally planned to hold just one on the 7th, but the tickets for that sold out in minutes, and afterwards, A LOT of ladies were in touch with us to see if there was any way they could get tickets or be put on a list for tickets if an attendee cancelled. We didn’t want anyone to be disappointed so we figured, let’s hold two workshops!

Fortunately, the Galgorm resort were more than willing to accommodate the last minute change of plan and from then onwards, we arranged two workshops in one weekend!

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came along. It was so lovely to meet you all and lots of you had me smiling from ear to ear with the most incredible messages you sent me afterwards.

A massive thank you also to the team at The Galgorm Resort & Spa, in particular, Amy, Leigh and Graham. They, and the rest of the Glagorm staff were an incredible help to us. Planning one workshop is stressful, but two workshops in one weekend … the organisation is doubled and we have to ensure everything runs like clock work both days, so a lot goes int the planning of it all!

The team at the resort were so good to us when we arrived and did everything they could to ensure that the events ran as smoothly as possible both days and for that, we are so grateful. The food provided was also incredibly delicious and lots of people complimented the attention to detail and how yummy everything tasted – so hats off to the chefs and bakers – 10/10!

When I got there, the hotel had arranged for me to have a Quartz Signature Body Massage to help unwind and to let me experience their spa first hand. I have been very lucky to have experienced a good few spas throughout Ireland through my role as a blogger but wow – the Galgorm spa was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The spa is literally like a village – there is outdoor hot tubs, outdoor jacuzzi’s, outdoor pools and the spa is HUGE! It is the ULTIMATE getaway hotel destination!

The Quartz Signature Massage which I had done was around 50 minutes long and just SO relaxing. Basically, in a nutshell, you lie on a warm rose quartz sand bed, the sand is then sculpted around your body  –  which apparently is famous for its healing properties, helping with aches, pains, circulation, and totally de-stresses you. The massage technique is so relaxing and something very different – it’s hard to describe in txt, but it was one of the most amazing treatments I’ve ever had, and I recommend it 150% if you go try it!!

You won’t be disappointed!

At the workshop on Saturday & Sunday, we had some brilliant live demos. We also had Sinead Murphy, who created the most beautiful summer eye makeup look and gave lash application tips.

My own skincare specialist, Corina Tolan, gave a great talk on stage while Imelda from Mel Marie Weaves demonstrated how to wear rock a clip in hair piece! Amazing by the way, I actually wore one on both days.

I also want to say a big thank you to our sponsors who got involved on the day and treated our guests to yummy treats.

On Saturday Rubicon offered all of our guests a seriously yummy fruite drink that went down VERY well on such a hot day!

On Sunday, Inis Fragrance got involved with the most amazing hampers and goodies. Inis supplied our Sunday masterclass guests with a full sized body lotion and on Saturday, our guests received a mini signature perfume, The Energy of the Sea!

I loved having Inis involved.

As I mentioned on Facebook and Instagram, I had pestered my mam for this exact perfume when I was 15 years of age! My friend had it at the time and I was obsessed with how fresh it smelled! When mam got it for me, I literally wore it to school every single day!

Even when I spritzed on my wrists over the weekend, the scent instantly took me straight back to my teenage years.

I want to say a BIG thank you to our goodie bag sponsors, whose treats everyone loved.

The items differed slightly on both days, but here are the products that the attendees received over the two days:

Northern Ireland gals, you were a dream to visit, I’ll be back.. soon pls god!
