Review: Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder!

download

Like most make-up loving ladies, I have had a long-standing love affair with Urban Decay. Hello Primer Potion – the product is genius!

Their Naked Palette range was probably one of the best things to happen to make-up bags everywhere and their Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder is no different!

You all know just how much I love highlighters and skin illuminators, and at this stage I have tried and tested so many of them that I’m practically an authority on the subject! ha!!

Anyway, I can confidently say that this particular illuminator from Urban Decay is utterly amazing!

I have been using it for the past few weeks and I’m obsessed with it! I like to apply it to my cheekbones, shoulders, limbs, etc, but it has such a striking sparkle that you can also use it as part of your eye make-up too.

If you want to add a little shimmer to a matte eye-shadow, or a nice sheen to your brow bone, then this is the multi-functional product that will do it!

This illuminator really gives your skin the most amazing warm glow, but while some may find it a little too sparkly, personally, I absolutely loved it. I welcome the glitter 🙂

Just remember, when it comes to powder illuminators such as this one, always lightly tap the brush before dusting the powder onto the skin. This will prevent you from using too much. I also recommend that you use a fan brush to apply it, this gives a precise appliation!

Naked Illuminated looks amazing on both tanned and bare skin, and you only need a slight dusting of it to create a fab affect.

sThe Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder comes in two shades. The first is called Aura, which has a soft pink undertone (this is the one I have), and the second is called Luminous, which can only be described as a shimmery champagne shade.

You can purchase Urban Decay from here and it costs €23!

Hi Sue, hoping to buy this in town tomorrow. I have the Mac version of powder highlighter and I love it…just wondering which you’d think is better? Thanks!

The ‘pinky’ shade is actually quite golden though… its just an undertone! 🙂 I love highlighting too! Its my fav thing to do ever! Hope you love this one just as much xx

Definatly going to purchase this. I was thinking you had the champagne shade on and was going to get that one till I see you have on the other pinky shade one. So now unsure. I bought the Catrice one you recommend during the summer and still have a little left which worked out a bargain. I’m obsessed with highlighting especially under my eyes and cheekbone area 🙂 x

Definitely next on my ‘to get’ list! Revlon used to do a fabulous loose powder illuminator called Skinlights. I love Urban Decay products and at that price it’s a steal. Thanks for the great tips as always <3
