After my How To Contour video went down a treat last year – there is one question I am still asked each week; “Sue, what brushes do you recommend for contouring?” Well today I am here to answer that question for you. 🙂

I am a contouring addict! I love to contour and I always feel my makeup looks so much better when I do!

The power of highlighting and shading is seriously something else! When you contour correctly, you can give your face a different look! Using the right contouring makeup tricks, you can create the illusion of a slender nose, sleeker jawline, all-over slimmer face and even BOOBS!

You all know by now that the CrownBrush Contour & Corrector palette is my favourite product to contour with, but no application is ever perfect without the use of the right tools.

So here are the x3 brushes I recommend for contouring.

Contouring is a x3 way process. First you apply your contour, then your highlighter and then blend everything in…. this process requires three brushes and here are my faves.

1. To apply the contour, I recommend this flat angled brush. This flat angles brush is great for applying the contour under the cheekbones, into the temples and down either side of the nose. The flat tip offers great precision and I couldn’t apply my contour with any other brush.

2. To apply the highlighter, I recommend this small duo fibre brush. This works great for packing on the colour and softly blending it out as well.

3. To blend everything in (blending each colour separately), I use this duo fibre foundation brush and it is my ultimate fave for foundation application also.

For those three brushes it will set you back in total: €31.08….

OR you can purchase my SoSueMe Brush collection has my top x10 brushes (including contouring brushes).
