For as long as I can remember, I have always loved the tousled beach-babe hairstyle. Frankly, I blame it on years of watching Home & Away and seeing the likes of Selena and Shannon with their gorgeous beachy curls!

Well part of the reason why I got my extensions back in before I went to the Caribbean was because I wanted to be able to recreate the look of effortless tousled tresses while I was there. It was the perfect place for it!

The ‘undone’ look is the big hair trend this summer, and I have already seen it being rocked by so many celebrities such as Beyonce and Rita Ora, although I have to say hats off to Jennifer Aniston who has been sporting this style on and off for years!

To help me achieve the effortlessly wavy look while on holiday, I brought with me a bottle of TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creating Sea Foam.

No one wants to spend time styling their hair when on holiday, and I’m exactly the same! There were times when I was reluctant to even blow dry my hair! I just wanted a natural look that was as effortless as possible.

So here’s how I got my beachy Caribbean waves:

Step 1

I washed my hair and then towel dried it. You should NEVER apply product to hair that is soaking wet, otherwise the product won’t absorb. Most of it will just slide right off the hair. Sometimes, the shampoo and conditioner you use can weigh down the hair and make it difficult to create waves, but TRESemmé also do a shampoo and conditioner in the Perfectly (un)Done range which is silicone free, so it so doesn’t weigh the hair down thereby making it easier to create the waves.

Step 2

I divided my hair into three sections (two sides and one back) and then I applied 5 pumps of the TRESemmé Wave Creating Sea Foam to each section. The number of pumps you apply will be determined by your hair length. 5 pumps is the recommended amount for long hair, but 2 pumps should be sufficient for shorter hair.

Step 3

Once the product was applied, I then threw my head upside down and blasted my hair with a blow-dryer. I didn’t use a brush, I simply scrunched my hair while I blow dried. You can always let your hair air dry if you prefer, but I chose to blow-dry it so I could help build as much volume as possible. When you throw your head upside down when blow-drying, you are lifting the root which in turn helps give the hair more body.
