Lupita Nyong’o is a new name on the movie scene, but the 12 Years A Slave star is making some serious waves in the fashion world. The actress is catching headlines, not just for her critically acclaimed performance, but for her stunning red carpet style. Lupita wowed the crowds in a beautiful floor length white and gold embellished Prada gown at the Toronto Film Festival.
Lupita also showed off her unique style in an electric blue Roland Mouret body con dress at the New York Film Festival and in a stunning black Christopher Kane two piece outfit at the Accenture Gala in London.
She’s definitely not afraid to mix it up. She rocked this monochrome tuxedo inspired dress by Prabal Gurung at the Governors Awards in November, along with some on trend purple lipstick. She also went for a rose gold Elie Saab metallic lace dress at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards.
A pop of colour in Victoria Beckham and of course the now iconic red Ralph Lauren cape dress did the trick for the Golden Globes red carpet and cocktail party.
Lupita donned a white Calvin Klein cut out dress for the Critics Choice Movie Awards in L.A. and was hailed as best dressed everywhere we looked for this amazing turquoise high necked dress by Gucci she wore to the SAG Awards. We could literally go on all day. The woman is fast becoming a style icon and deservedly so.
