A few weeks back, during a photoshoot for my new weekly page in the Sun Newspaper (which you can check out every Friday here), my makeup artist Fiona Hogan used a fab pink colour on my lips. I fell in love with it straight away, and of course, I had to ask her all about it! (I’m always asking questions, especially when it comes to makeup products!!)
Anyway, Fiona told me it was called ‘Matte Me’, from Sleek Makeup, which I was thrilled to hear, because Sleek is so good, yet so affordable too!
I have long been a huge fan of Sleek’s products, and long term readers of SoSueMe will no doubt remember that one of my favourite blush colours is from the Sleek Makeup Contour Kit. But back to Matte Me! First of all, the pigment is utterly AW-MAZING! As far as statement lip colours go, this product nails it!
Once the creamy colour was applied for the photoshoot, I added just a tiny touch of gloss to soften out the matte texture. I have dry lips so I always like to add a little moisturising gloss or balm!
I was so impressed by how long ‘Matte Me’ lasted, once it dried in. In fact, it stayed perfectly in place for most of the photoshoot, right up until we had to change lip colours.
I’m really loving the other shades available in the Matte Me range, (aren’t they fab?), and now that I have fallen in love with one, I’m really looking forward to trying out a few more!!
