Nardya Miller, a 25 year old Australian woman who had been given just a week to live, has sadly passed away.
Upon learning of her prognosis, Nardya famously shared a most inspiring, albeit heartbreaking, message on her Instagram page in which she encourages others to “live life to the absolute fullest.”
Here is the post in full:
Nardya suffered from Cystic Fibrosis and underwent a double lung transplant two years ago in the hope that it would bring an end to her lifelong battle with the condition, but tragically her body rejected the lungs.
She passed away this week, the day before the second anniversary of her double lung transplant.
Prior to her death, Nardya asked her followers not to be sad for her but to remember her as the girl who brightened their day at least once.
She then closed with the request that people live their lives to the absolute fullest.
Despite fighting an intense battle with CF, Nardya was determined to help build a life for herself and her fiance, Liam.
Her cousin Tachae Douglas Miller said, “After undergoing the double lung transplant she didn’t realize she was so ill. Instead of letting this get the better of her she managed to start up her own beauty business, she bought a house with her beautiful fiancé, Liam, she adopted three beautiful little fur babies and she started to make her dream of opening her own beauty store a reality. She didn’t want to stop working as she didn’t want to burden her fiancé with debt.”
Upon learning that she had just days left to live, Nardya’s family set up a GoFundMe page to try and help fulfil her wish not to leave her fiance in debt.
Her cousin wrote on the page, “Nardya will not be going home, she has been given a time frame of a week. She is leaving behind a beautiful fiancé who works so hard to care for her. What I am asking from you is to please if you can, donate even $2 to this go fund me page in order for us to keep Nardya’s dreams of having her fiancé not be left in debt, and to look after her three little fur babies.”
