Beyoncé has landed the coveted top spot on TIME’s famous list of the 100 Most Influential People. She joins Pharrell, Miley Cyrus, Robin Wright, and fashion’s own Natalie Massenet, Phoebe Philo, and Christy Turlington Burns.
Time Magazine unveiled its 11th annual collection of the 100 most influential people in the world on Thursday, with a list comprised primarily of artists, politicians and business people.
Each person selected had a few paragraphs about their influence written by recognizable names, including US president Barack Obama, who wrote about Pope Francis and actor Lupita Nyong’o, who wrote about director Steve McQueen.
“He’s always in search of the truthful moment that will give the audience real human access to difficult issues. He’s a visionary in that way.”
Beyoncé graces the cover of the 2014 Time 100 issue, which is the 11th of the series. Facebook head honcho and author Sheryl Sandberg had this to say about the singer and business woman.
“Beyoncé doesn’t just sit at the table. She builds a better one. She raises her voice both on and off stage to urge women to be independent and lead. Her secret: hard work, honesty and authenticity.”
It seems the rule of Queen Bey isn’t set to end anytime soon then!!
